I met a guy online about 2 years ago, met him in person after many hours of chatting online. He's the most amazing thing I've ever met. :) Just make sure you have enough information about him first, and be careful.

If your over 18, and you decide you want to take that chance (and it is a risk), make sure you meet him at a mall. Consider taking a friend or two with you, so you're not walking back to your car alone after the meet with him. Carry your keys in your hand when you walk out of there, so you use them as a weapon, just in case.
Give the his name, his computer login name, address (if you have it), and a copy of your pictures of him, and a picture of you also, to a relative, just incase something does go wrong, the police will have a much appreciated head start on who they are looking for.

thats realy a personal choice. if you do decide to meet then meet in a crowded public place. and always make sure someone knows where your going and who you are going to meet include his email address and a contact phone number just incase he turns out to be a nutter.
until you have spoken on the phone and or videophone i'd advise you to be very sceptical until proven wrong.

It's ok to meet him but make sure it will be in a safe public place, there are some sickos out there.
Don't have too high expectations, the first real meeting is often disappointing.

Take along a friend, meet him in a public place, tell another friend where you're gonna be and take along your cell phone with the police on speed dial. One more thing, pay your own way so no expectations come up.

Meet him in a very crowded public place and don't get your hopes up too high. But if you're going to continue to communicate with him at all, you should meet him.

IF YOU MEET IN A PUBLIC PLACE, BRING YOUR OWN CAR, PAY YOUR OWN WAY, AND NOT BE ALONE WITH HIM FOR THE FIRST MEETING. MAYBE BRING A FRIEND ALONG UNTIL YOU FEEL SAFE. NEVER GET IN HIS CAR.
