Be the best mom you can be to your daughter. If he is a scumbag loser, he won't notice. If he is a decent guy, he will notice that you are treating his child very well. Don't expect anything in return but just do the right thing. Allow him to be the dad as much as possible. Over time, he may perceive that you were better than he expected. It will take time to demonstrate your virtues, time for him to grow up and be responsible.

If you have to bend over backwards to try and get someone to love you then it probably want be worth it. Someone has to fall in love with you I mean the whole you faults and all. You might just love him but are you in love with him. Also how old is your child after child birth we have like a hormonal change or something it might just be that and not really love at all.
