How can you not believe in the Goddess Dana when....?
She gave birth to all of the other Gods?
She watches over every one of us individually every day!
When you see the mountains and ocean and the forest and all the beauty in the world!
yes you will go through hard times in life but it's all in the Goddess's plan! It will all turn out for the better!
I would rather believe in the Goddess and be wrong rather than not believe in the Goddess and be wrong!

Is There Really A God?? OH YES! YOU CAN KNOW THERE IS A GOD UNLESS
YOU CAN PROVE HOW THE FOLLOWING CAME INTO BEING! NOT JUST CONJECTURE OF WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED OR WHAT YOU THINK HAPPENED BUT WHAT YOU CAN PROVE HAPPENED.
93 million miles from the blistering surface of the sun hangs the planet earth. A rotating sphere perfectly suspended in the center of the universe. The ultimate creation from an infinite mind. An unbelievable intricate complex design. A supernatural testimony, an irrefutable sign. A sign to the logical, thinking, lucid mind that there is....A GOD.
The size, position and angle of the earth is a scientific phenomenon to see for a few degrees closer to the sun and we would disintegrate, a few degrees further away and we would freeze. The axis of the earth is tilted at a perfect 23 degree angle and it's no mistake that it is. This allows equal global distribution to the rays of the sun making it possible for the food chain to exist.
Or take for example the combination of nitrogen and oxygen in the atmosphere we breathe every day. It just happens to be the exact mix that life needs to prosper, and it doesn't happen on any other planet that way.
You see, the Bible says the invisible things of God are clearly seen through His creation; to believe this is not hard. If there's a design, there's a designer, if there's a plan, there's a planner, and if there's a miracle, there is a God.
The heavens declare the glory of God and the skies proclaim the work of His hands. If we allow our minds to drink all the truth that just surrounds us, creation itself will help us understand.
Did you know the moon controls the tides? It's the maid that cleans the oceans. Even the waves don't crash the shores in vain. The tides drag impurities into the depths of the sea. It's nature's constant recycling chain.
It simply boggles the mind to think that the stars rotate with such exact precision - that it's true. That the atomic clock they move through as they silently orbit the sun and the moon did NOT come about by accident but rather by design. The stars are like celestial evangelist above, who circle the earth every 24 hours shouting in every language that there is a God. Atheism is the wedge under the foundation of our faith trying to topple our relationship with Christ. When the fool said in his heart, there is no God, he rejects the truth God painted on the canvas of the very heavens.
Atheism still has never given answers to our existence, peace to a troubled mind or even dried a tear. For it's God who created heaven and earth and flung the stars in space and breathed in the handful of dirt and it became a man. It's God who sits on the circle of the earth and measures the mountains in a scale and holds the seven seas in the palm of His hand. It's God who sent His only begotten Son to the cross of Calvary. It is God who heals and God who is worthy of a thunderous ovation of praise........

Good for you.
Since god created EVERYTHING, why not mention all the bad things like hurricane Katrina, the tidal wave that took out all those people down in the Pacific, the wars, the famine, the poverty, the pollution (since he made man, and man made pollution, god is responsible), AIDS, terrorism, blah blah blah.. and if you say Satan did all of that and his minions - well, who the F made Satan? Duh.
And your use of Pascal's Wager is lame because what if your god is the wrong god? What if, out of the thousands of possible gods out there, the Judeo-Christian was actually the wrong one? Then you'd be wrong regardless.
And, even if your god existed, I'd rather worship dirt than him as he's a vengeful, hateful, pompous god.
"Mountains and oceans and the beauty of the world.." puhleeze.

"He died on the cross for our sins"
Soldiers also die fighting for us, but do we worship them ?
"He prays for everyone of us individually every day!"
So do the priests, don't they?
"I would rather believe in God and be wrong rather than not believe in God and be wrong"
Same goes with Satan, doesn't it?
Not saying I'm a Satan worshiper, I'm atheist. I, don't believe in God merely because, then I would also have to believe in the existence of the Demon too. But this constant reference to Jesus Christ is sickening. If you believe in God why do you have to give Him a name? Jesus was just a messenger and not God, atleast that's what I understand after reading the literature on Christianity.

Well, I come from a Catholic family, but I consider myself to be Agnostic. If you really want to know why, and aren't just trying to shove your religion down my throat, I'll tell you why:
First, I do believe in the magic and beauty of our wonderful earth. I love everything about the planet we live on, and am greatful for my life and my existance.
However, I find the Cathoic and Christian church to be too exclusive and unaccepting. I do not like that they are, as a whole, against gays and lesbians. I believe that God created everyone, gay or straight, and He loves all of us equally regardless of who we love.
I also believe that no matter what faith you choose to follow, as long as you are making the world a better place, you are doing what God has intened and wishes. I volunteer on a weekly basis, help out in my community, and care for and respect our natural world. I feel that that is more important than any demoniation.

I do believe in God but maybe some people don't believe that Jesus died for our sins or that God prays for us every day. We don't and can't know those things for a fact so it makes sense that not everyone will believe them.

It all comes down to the scare factor for so many of you, doesn't it? "I'd rather believe and be wrong than not believe and be wrong!" That's SO kindergarten, using scare tactics and bribery to get people to believe. How can you not believe in Muhammad as a prophet of God, or in Zeus, or Jupiter, or Osiris, or Odin? Did you pick Christianity as your religion because it just sounded good to you, or did your parents bring you up on it and you never gave any of the alternatives any thought?

Pascal's wager is fallacious. Read up on the principle of indifference and the webs of absurdity it has lead mathematicians and philosophers.
In any case, those who believe otherwise often have problems with Biblical theology. The answer is too complex to cram in the space of a Yahoo! Answers post.

how do you know he died for our sins. is there any believable proofs? he was a kind hearted human being who killed by his enemies. he can not rescue himself. then how would he rescue others. what you mean by believe? there is no use from mere belief. only you can shut your eyes and imagine that you are in fools heaven ignoring the present realities. but you can feel the god. in fact the god is in you. if you deeply meditate on 'who am i' you will find that you are not physical body, mind, intellect but you are that pure awareness who is witnessing all these and who is unchanged in all times. this is called self realization or god realization. instead of believing something you believe in the divinity within you and feel it.
