We just called our airline, ANA (All Nippon Airways) and they say they will not let us on the plane without a visa or proof of onward travel. Does anyone have experience with ANA?

Also, if we get an onward ticket before 2 months are up, will they let us on the plane? We keep getting mixed information.

No entrance without visa, onwards, or return ticket. And without visa but with a return ticket you can stay 1 month. Then postpone your flight and go for a border run and come back to thailand, you can stay 1 more month. If you can go to Malaysia apply there for a tourist visa and stay 2 months in Thailand when you come back to the land of smile.

you could do a visa run if you wanted to prat around or if you plan to visit another country in the nieghbour hood while you are there so long as you get your passport stamped, alternatively why don't you just get a visa there easy to get valid for 2 months if you over stay this i believe the sign at imagration said recently that the first day is free after that it is 500 baht a day however check on this if you get to this point it is probably worth checking at your nearest imagration centre over there at that point in time so you have the most up to date imformation. you can download visa application forms off the net for thailand a 2 month visa was 25 pounds stirling per entry up to a maximum of 4 entrys up to and including june and i have no reason to believe it has gone up but again if in doubt phone up and check you will also need 2 up to date passport photos, have fun!

It depends upon your country.

Citizens from many countries like US, Canada, Australia, UK etc do not need a VISA to stay in Thailand up to 3 months and few other country citizens can stay up to 6 months without VISA.

But you need to inform the authorities if you have planned to stay more than 90 days in Thailand.

You don't need a Visa to get "into" T-Land. But you will need to pay an exit Visa/pass when you leave.

You do need a passport, though.

Nope, as long as you get an exit stamp and re-enter subsequently. Have fun. You must be staying in the border towns for this. :)
