well, somebody who is LDS and living what they believe, then yes. they will be happy. a lot of the comandments that they believe and follow are things that sortof generally would make anybody happy if they were to follow them. like not being adaulturous or fornicating-how many people who are out screwing the neighbor are really happy? there has to be some element of guilt! and the word of wisdom-dont use any addictive substances-how many people do you know who smoke ciggarettes and are so incredibly hooked! and they get upin the morning, stretch, lite up, and take a deep breath of that fresh...wait a minute. if you live in a cloud of smoke, theres no such thing as fresh air. alcohol-lots of calories, and you feel terrible the next morning. its almost equesterian-dont drink cause youll feel horrible later-so youll be happier if you dont! sacrifice the imediate wants for the better good. and honey, why would you be sad if you believed that you could be with your family, with the people you love forever, after you die? when you are married in the temple, or sealed to your family, it makes it last forever-not till death do you part. i am LDS-my whole life. i stopped going to church for a couple years. i got pregnant and got married. and i am happy, but i do know that if i had made better choices my life would be so much easier. i almost cry every sunday at church, because i see so many families who are sealed. and i wish i had that. i wish i had temple blessings and could go, but i still have things in my life keeping me from worthiness. and my husband tells me how sad it is that i dont believe that our love is strong enough to last through death- its not that i dont want to believe that either. if you live righteously you will be happy! if you follow gods words. and its hard, but trust me, its even hardr when you do things the other way. i am so in love with my husband, and we are so blessed, and have the most beautiful child ever! i wouldnt change it for the world! but it would be so much easier....and i wouldnt have a lot of the pain and sadness that i feel every day at the thought of not seeing my baby girl and my man with me through eternity. one of the things that brings our happiness is the knowledge that we have true prophets who guide us, the knowledge of eternal family, our freedom from worldly things. without these, we would be much less happy.

i am studying with the mormons right now. I see a lot of happiness and truth being spoken. Remember Mormons are people just like us they have problems and trials to. What they do that is really special to me is help one another. They believe in family. If they don't have a answer to a question they find it for you. What I like about studying with the missionaries is that they will tell you we are not perfect. And to me that says a lot. I've studied with other religions and they will say we are perfect and we are gods chosen ones. You can be happy being a Mormon they are very active they all do the best that they can to be good in gods eyes. Just like the rest of us. I love Mormons. They like laugh and play to. But thier studies are serious but comfortable.

We are just like anyone else. We are happy, but we also deal with the same things that everyone else does. I wouldn't have my life any other way. I have a wonderful husband and wonderful kids. We have high morales and try to live Christ like lives. Does that mean we're perfect, no. We believe that there is opposition in all things. When my daughter died it was the hardest thing in the world, but my faith in Jesus Christ and the Resurrection has brought me much comfort. We really are not that different from anyone else. And YES we are happy, but we do live in this world of trials and tribulations.
For those that think we are so off beat I challenge you to check these sites out and see for yourself, we are not teaching crazy stuff. It makes sense and really explains what life is all about.

4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

I've known some happy Mormons and some bitterly depressed Mormons. It's life.

The spelling is Latter-Day-Saint. And yes, every good thing that has happened to me in my life has been as a result of living the teachings of my faith. I'm happy and know a lot of other people with peace and happiness in their lives because of our faith.

I personally think it is wacky. However I have in fact met Latter Day Saints who were very happy with their religion and lives. To each their own, I suppose. To me, being Christian is a bit off, never mind LDS. But let them do what makes them happy!

They are happy till someone researches the Church history and finds they whitewashed so much and figures out that they have followed mindlessly without question. Then they get really upset for being lied to all these years.

Being a mormon is dumb and time wasting. I used to be one and trust me, they are crazy and sick in the visual. You can't be happy as a Mormon.
