This is not meant in a sick or perverted way. Playful tickling can be a great activity between friends who trust and respect each other. What is the best way to be approached about it?

Playful tickling should never be used as a method of control or power. It should occur between 2 consenting people with an emphasis on keeping it fun and playful for both parties.

Tickling, playful or otherwise, is a form of control and manipulation. Not ever a good idea. For someone to use "tickling" as a method of control, if the person being tickled doesn't laugh or play like they like it, then the person doing the tickling will follow with "oh, it's all in fun," or "what's wrong, can't you take a joke?" In other words, the person doing the tickling wants to control the reactions and actions of the other person.
