Hmmm very good question! why does a person date another person? cos they're lonely & need a companion/friend/lover & dating is the one way in which you can get to know them on a friendlier basis before deciding if its worth it to take it to the next level?

how they react to each other. people might say 'it was love at first sight' but that's not usually the case! i would date someone if i thought he was a nice guy and if i think we might have a good relationship. one thing i learned is you can't have an intimate relationship with someone unless you are friends first. friendship is the foundation for building a relationship.

girls like to get to know guys before they start an affair. so they start it with dating, figure out what kind of a guy he is. so use you basics. I agree with the money thing. but what matters is the first impression you give
