Sure, with a condition. I would like to ask the researcher why he could not get acceptance from his own people like father, mother, sister, wife, son, best friends etc., If they have not accepted due to lack of faith in the researcher or the researcher did not ask and wants to protect them. This resercher doesn't desreve any consideration. Let him try it on his own body or on a pig for his fame and money.

I once did a study on cease smoking drugs. There was a possibility of receiving 2 different drugs or a placebo. Even though they were unsure as to how safe the drugs were and the possible side effects were potentially harmful, my option to participate in the study was the greatest choice I made. I quit smoking, even though at the end of the study I found I was receiving the placebo. Someone has to be the guinea pig so to speak. I think of all of the patients that trusted me when I was a student in med school.

No, i wouldnt........ I'll be selfish enough to say that when my immediate family depends upon me, i wont risk my life for other people..... Simply because there are others on whom these can be tried....... eg. Criminals who are sentenced to death can be used for this purpose, their life will serve some purpose at least, and they will get a chance for salvation this way..... Or maybe someone who is suffering from that life threatening disease for which the drug is being tested... Because that person will have nothing to loose.........
I'm not the kind that will think about million others rather than my family...... .And especially if there is an alternative, like in this case, there is no reason to become a guinea pig!!! Why should i bother when it can be done without putting my life on line!!

No, I'm not that altruistic to be honest. You obviously did not hear about the paid human "guinea pigs" in England. I believe that 2 testers died, and one is recovering from the negative side effects.
And yeah, you should question whether we need to save millions of people when there's nearly 7 billion people on earth. That's why we have mercury in seafood, global warming, factory-farm animals, etc. Most of the world don't have potable (drinkable) water due to sewage/waste management issues from people and animals.
Disease, wars, famine, hurricanes, earthquakes that cause deaths are only painful on a personal level, but it shouldn't be on a global level. India, the U.S., Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan should adopt a one-child policy like China.
When one disease is eliminated, a new, stronger one definitely replaces it. It is the natural order of things.

Yes, I would as long as the company closely monitored my health and saw that my body is accepting the drug without harm. I believe we must be willing to try things to help others in the long run.
