priests are the ones who live for God and they are the ones who pray for people. Why can't Catholics go to Church and ask the pastor to help us pray to God if we sinnned. And duuuh - we KNOW only Jesus redeemed us from our sins not humans.

I see people in some christian churches go up and ask pastors to lay their hands on them. what's the difference?

but we should pray for each other!!!
especially those with higher rank in church are like a sheperd who needs to tend their flocks aren't they:? like Jesus told peter "if you love me feed my lamb."

People are ignorant of the bible and they believe in a Protestant tradition that threw out the one that Jesus started.

There is a lot of biblical support for Catholicism. That's because Protestants are basically using our book when they use the bible because the books of the Christian bible were put together by the Catholic Church under the authority the Pope.

I don't know how much you already know, but here are some of my links if you don't already know about them. May God bless you.

There's nothing wrong with confessing your sins to a Priest. The part that's wrong is when the priest then gives you some mumbo jumbo to do to make up for your sins like running some beads through your hands while you repeat a religious formula over and over again or doing some work of penitence.

The Bible says that Jesus paid for all of our sins and it's an insult to try and add to his work with our own human efforts. Also the Bible says that God doesn't want us to try and atone for our sins, He wants us to obey Him in the first place.

So if you go to a Priest and confess your sins and he tries to give you counsel on how to overcome an area of sin in your life, that's fine. That's the job of those who are more mature in faith. But the rest of it is just some made up stuff that goes against the Word of God.

If you KNOW Jesus redeemed you from your SINS why do you still go to someone else???????????

Im trying to be nice but read Colossians 2:14,18,20-24
Also read Hebrews Chapter 10 that mentions Jesus is the only way. Read it right now!!

okay after you've read it, what's your opinion?
I have two questions for you........
1) Can a priest be suceptable to sin? Do you think its possible?
2)What do you think when the Bible says "we need no high priest, HE alone is our priest"?

Keep searching.

Better yet, explain to me from the Bible why it is right.
Here are some examples of laying on of hands and praying for different reasons. Now you give me the answer to that the Bible says about confessing your sins to men... My email is open.

Mar 6:5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
2Ti 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
Mar 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
