Here is the deal and you may not like this answer. If you get caught driving your friends in your car and you haven't had your license for a year, your license is suspended until you are 18 years old and you have to pay a $1000.00 fine. Your parents are also punished in a sense too because you are on their insurance. Because the fact that you didn't follow the law, your parents' premium for their insurance goes up. I asked a friend who work at the DMV. She said that it is better that you wait that one year than to be suffer not having a license. Your friends will be able to ride in your car soon. It is better to wait than be sorry.

At the worst - like some on the central coast CA several years ago - death. "Just one joy ride" lead to slamming into a tree hard enough to split the car in two. All the passengers were killed. The driver lived - barely - and now lives with the fact that he killed his best friends.
There's a reason laws are in place.

You might be penalty for a couple of years, even before you get your driving licence.

let's see. possibly jail time at worst. at the least, you won't be able to get your license until you're 21. Which, for you would feel like forever.
