About 8 months ago my family was driving down rt. 7 in N. Virgnia. I heard a sound that sounded like a supersonic jet, but didn't see anything. So I leaned down and looked up and then saw this strange light zoom in front of us. The best green color I can think to describe it is kryptonite. Within seconds it disappeared into thin air. I never saw it crash or anything. As soon as the light was gone I noticed about 6 of the cars ahead of us braked, but only in our lane.

What is even more weird, about 2 weeks ago I was driving down the road with my daughter and friend and the same exact thing happened again. This is about 20 minutes from the first one. This one was at night while the first was still light outside. Whatever this object is it zooms across, not down like a shooting star. Please help, The thought of not knowing what this thing is is driving me crazy.

It looked like a ball of something but kinda bullet shaped because of the speed it was going. I just shoved it off the first time, but the second time I said there has to be a real phenomena. Its not a space ship. It is some sort of astronomical thing.

It was not lightening for sure. Both times the color was the same. I wondered if it was a firework but fireworks don't fly that direction and make such a powerful sound.

It was probably been ball lightning. Check out this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ball_lightning

I've seen ball lightning myself and your experience is nothing unique.

EDIT: It was BALL lightning, as in shaped in a ball. It doesn't have to look like regular lightning. Many confuse this to be a UFO or something but in all seriousness, your experience is nothing special. I've seen something almost exactly the same (it was a different color) a year ago.

It is possible that it is a solar flash. I am not sure of the exact term used but if the atmospheric conditions are just right, moments after sunset a green flash will shoot across the sky and last for a few seconds. It is much more common on the ocean and is often seen on cruise ships. I'm not sure if this is what you are describing but it is a possibility.

It's JEsus Christ in his souped-up spaceship. He's finally coming for all the Christians--and good riddance to them, I say. For once, we won't have to listen to them babbling about the end times.
