It's hard to say. Just because billions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of manhours are spent on it every year doesn't mean that a virus will be cured. Look at the common cold, for example. Do we have a cure for that? HIV is a nasty and tricky virus. With the amount of strains out there, it will be difficult to find a cure that will be 100% effective. While I like to hope there is a cure coming soon, I can't promise it will come.

From what I understand AIDS mutates every time it has a cell split. It makes it a little hard to cure.

They have found cure for aids, but everytime they go treat it they cell has already broken and the medcine they made for it doesnt help that cell. Now they have to find a new medcine to help this cell. Doctors will find it one day.

I assume you mean a cure for AIDS that doesn't kill the host as well? If not, we already have one, fire will work perfectly.

I feel as though they probably already have, but why would they release it if they can make a ton of money on the other drugs that 'suppress' the disease? And if they haven't, I really hope they do.
