"What should I do???"
Sell your car and get used to riding the bus. You probably won't get your license back for a while anyway.

It is hard to believe you did not know your license was suspended. You would have had a notice from your state of there decision and or would have found out at the court hearing you attended that caused the suspension in the first place.
You are going to pay for the accident and any other related expenses. It will be hard to find an attorney to help due to your current record.
Get a second job.
After this an insurance policy will be extremely expensive if you get your license back

First off, DON'T DRIVE! You knew that your license was suspended and drove anyway. You compounded this by driving without insurance.
As far as an attorney is concerned, contact the local Bar Association for a referral. You're going to need a good one.
In most states, your driver's license will remain suspended until you pay off the damages that you caused. I have a family friend who has been under suspension for this for over 20 years.
You're lucky that you're in Chicago. At least there is a decent public transportation system there. You're probably going to become intimately familiar with it

You need a good attorney, and money to pay for the damage. It is all about accountability, home boy and if you will not voluntarily be responsible, the law will force you to be.
Since your license was suspended, why were you driving? How do you NOT know your license is suspended? Do you not understand the rules: no license, no operating a motor vehicle on the public highway system? That law is universally on the books and runs across all 50 states and US territories.
Obeying the law and paying insurance premiums look pretty cheap now, don't they!

You didn't know your license was suspended? Hmmmmmm. That should have been pointed out to you when you registered your car? Get real. You screwed up. The court fines are going to be high. LOL! Didn't know? LOL!
Wait until somebody presses charges? Otherwise? You can hide out at my house until they find you! LOL! Not much you can do except face the music. Can't take from one what they don't have. That is why nobody can take your license...because you didn't have it in the first place! LOL! Your insurance premiums won't go up either because you didn't have that either! LOL! That is why insured drivers have what is called uninsured motorists protection. If the other party wasn't insured either, just invite them out to lunch and feed them and then beat the crap out of them and subdue them into saying nothing. LOL!
I do't know the answer. I'm sorry. I'm being an educated silly person.

You are in a heap of trouble. Look at it this way; If you get an attorney, you'll pay him/her probably $2000 (this is an educated guess). If you just go in and face the music yourself, you'll probably get approx. $500 fine for driving while suspended and an additional 3 months of suspension time, and $1000 fine for driving without insurance.and probably 6 months or more suspension time (possibly concurrent, meaning total 9 months suspension). If you do get this long term of additional suspension, you are going to end up driving again (while on the suspended list) because of basic need and since you are ethnic, you'll somehow get stopped again and you will really be screwed, your fines will double and you'll get a day in jail. (If it's your third time caught driving while suspended and/or no insurance, you could probably get up to 10 days in jail OR WORSE. Mind you, I'm going by New Jersey law and I'm speaking from experience, it has happened to me SEVERAL TIMES. Best to get an attorney and let him fight it out for you, dig deep for the money, ask ffamily members to lend it to you for the emergency. Attorneys CAN get you out of bad situations not because they like you "per se" but more because they are friends with the judge. For instance, I was once sentenced to 1 day in jail (for driving while suspended) and my lawyer asked the judge if I could just sit in the courtroom till the end of the court day and let that suffice for my day in jail and the judge agreed to it!! I was out by 4:30pm. That cost me $1000 in lawyers fee.
ADDED TEXT: Some of the idiots answering you haven't been in this situation, so they are just giving you bad info. First of all, IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE A SUSPENDED LICENSE AND NOT KNOW IT, because the DMV doesn't send Certified Mail, and that is how lawyers are able to get you off of this charge. Just talk to a lawyer and it won't be so bad, you'll have more suspension time and fines, so what. . . just pay it and wait.
To the idiot that said "they can't take away what you don't have" Yeah, that's what I thought too. . . THEY CAN MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO EVER GET IT.

It's kinda pointless to spend money on an attorney . . . you were at fault, driving uninsured, without a license. An attorney is just going to screw you over even more.

You should get a lawyer. Look in the phone book, call around and pick one that is most confident with low fee.
