Well, not much informantion there.
What do you mean by cooked it good? Could it still be partially raw? If it is, that may be the cause.
If it really is properly and fully cooked but your famoly still get the runs after eating it, I think that the fish may be poisoned or had lived in somewhere polluted.
Go to where your father bought the fishes and see if anyone else have the same symptoms.
If not, it could be from the condiments and such. Check for all the food's expiry date. That's important.
If it continues, I think it will be wise to go to a doctor... You'll feel more at ease.
Hope this helps.

Food poisoning takes up to at least 4 to 7 hours before it starts. Clock the time you started to get sick and go backwards. Whatever you ate at that time is the issue, fish or not.
Not much you can do but let it runs its course. Your body is designed to liquify anything bad like this to get it out any orfice it can, forward or back.
Drink plenty of water, 7up, Sprite, etc to help calm the stomache and to keep fluids in you as this will dehydrate you.
You can see a doctor but for the most part its a waste of money, there is no miracle pill on the market for this.

Get to a Doctor if adults get worse after 24 hours. Usually food poisoning passes after 2 or 3 days, or immediately if anyone suffers neurological symptoms. (also children should be checked immediately),
For non-acute vomiting and also diarrhoea, care usually consists of supplying fluids and a bland diet.
No milk products should be consumed for a few days.
If the symptoms are acute, (e.g. blood in the stool and fever), a doctor would probably proscribe one of the tetracycline family of antibiotics. (e.g. doxycycline, minocycline, tetracycline. chlotetracycline, etc., etc.), or a quinolone (e.g. ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin etc.)or sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim, etc. etc.
Antibiotics are only used in acute cases.
. Fluid and electrolyte (required mineral salts), replacement is important. Gatoraid is a good source, so is potato soup. (if you can keep them down.
If the symptoms are severe get to the emergency room at the hospital for treatment.
All the above information does not apply in the case of children have them checked by a doctor as soon as possible.
Food poisonig usually starts 48 hours after food consumption.
For example on of the most common food poisoning, Salmonella spp Campylobacter jejuni. There are few types of food poisoning start as soon as 8 to 12 hours. (e.g. Staphylococcus aureus, heavy metal or poisons like insecticide, and herbicide ingestion, and also the organism in warm storage of cooked rice, Bacillus cereus.) These are rare.
The most common cause of food poisoning are derived from undercooked, poultry, (e.g. chicken, and turkey), (or raw and undercooked eggs and egg products (like mayonnais). Less commonly undercooked red meats and pork.
Hope you recover soon.
Dan the Answers-man.
p.s. stomach flu that is not accompanied with muscle pain (like in the shoulders), is more likely salmonella food poisoning.

People with food poisoning should modify their diet during the period of illness. They should drink clear liquids frequently, but in small amounts. As their condition improves, soft, bland foods can be added to the diet. A commonly recommended diet is called the BRAT diet. The BRAT diet gets its name from the four foods it includes: banana, rice, applesauce, and toast. Milk products, spicy food, alcohol, and fresh fruit should be avoided until all symptoms disappear. These dietary changes are often the only treatment necessary for food poisoning.

If you're not violently sick you can just wait it out and after a few hours you should be better. If you have really bad diarrhea, fever, getting dehydrated, etc. you should go to the hospital. There are cases of children who have died from E. coli food poisoning, so watch your family carefully and call the doctor if you have any concerns at all.

Take medications for whatevere's ailing you. Antacids, Anti-diahhereals, Asprin, whatever. You are just going to have to wait it out and let it pass.
But if it persists or gets worse after a couple of days i'd strongly reccomend going to the doctor.
Untreated food poisoning can sometimes be fatal.

Most cases pass on its own but some kinds need medical attention. If the symptoms are mostly diareaha and/or vomiting then you are likely fine.
Good luck.
