Eat potatoes, avacados, cheese, bread, mayo, butter, icecream, whole milk. Cook with canola oil, olive oil or butter. Get lots of rest (7or8 hrs a night) and work out at least 4 times a week . I do these things and it helps me put weight on and keep it on. Oh, and if you indulge in pot it can help tremendously with the munchies. Also make sure you're eating enough protein.

You really don't want to gain fat weight. That's just not healthy. Maybe being skinny doesn't seem so great, but having a gut on there is far worse. If you want to put on some pounds, make sure you're eating enough protein (2 grams for every pound of body weight) and get into a proper weight training program. That'll help you put on muscle. The weight training is essential here. Depending on how old you are you'll also have to make sure you're eating between 2500 and 3000 Calories a day (maybe even more depending on how good your metabolism is) to fuel that new muscle.

I assume you want to gain weight to look better. Seriously, getting fat won't help you in that department. Getting in better shape will.

To gain weight and stay healthy it is better to gain muscle mass by following a balanced diet and an exercise program. This way you'll gain muscle mass which will not only be good for you health wise, but you'll look great too.

Figure out how many calories you currently eat and start by adding 200 calories to what is your current calorie consumption. Exercise and check your progress in two weeks. To eat more calories try eating around 1g of protein for your body weight. Choose healthy sources of protein such as fatty fish, lean cuts of red meat, chicken, turkey, etc. Add vegetable as well such as avocado (technically it is a fruit) it has good fats in it and more calories then other vegetables, add nuts such as walnuts, etc.

Eating: The first important point to increase your weight is to eat well. Eat more than you burn calories. Eating food, which contains more fat is good for people who are thin. Drinking milk, cheese, chicken meat etc are some foods, which contain more fat......

Foods that have starch/sugar and fat together, like milkshakes or doughnuts. Of course, this isn't helathy in the long run, but it could help if you're bony right now.

You'd gain better weight by becoming more muscular, not more flabby.
