Over a week ago, I developed a small itchy pimply like rash on my abodmen and chest. It has since spread to my neck, arms, legs and private area and has gotten much worse. The bumps grow in size and are dry, with skin peeling off in the middle. It is really unbarably itchy! I went to the ER last week, and they ran some tests and said it could be heat rash, and prescribed me some antibiotics in case it was caused from a bug bite. Can this really be heat rash?? I dont want to see another dr if they cant do anything due to lack of health insurance.

Have you recently changed your laundry detergent? Or maybe used too much of it the last time you washed your clothes? Or maybe the laundry detergetn didn't get completely rinsed out? Try running all your clothes through the washer again but without soap. It will take a couple of days but you should notice it going away if this was the cause.

Oatmeal baths will help with the itchiness. Aveeno makes a good packet for an oatmeal bath. Calamine lotion will help for when you get out. And there is a benedryl spray for when you are away from home.

It doesn't sound like heat rash to me, at least not typical heat rash... but I don't know what part of the country/world you are in either.

Hope that works.

Have you ever had chicken pox? Sounds like it to me. Try bathing in baking soda with Aveno soothing wash. This will ease the itch. Gentle rub you skin with chamomile lotion. Also you can drink Benadryl. This is good for itch and other allergic reaction. Talk to you pharmacist, he/she can be of good help. Good Luck, Hope it goes away soon!

Take a Benadryl! It happened to my friend when she took an antibiotic then went out into the sun. A cool bath may help, too.

Do you have Psoriasis? It sounds like it spread too fast to be that, but you never know. It can spread quickly in some cases and it usually involves skin peeling.
