That's exactly what God wants from you. He doesn't like insincerity anymore than you do.

Those that worship the Father, must worship in Spirit and Truth. That is what is truthful from your heart. God created us all special. No one loves Him quite the same. We are all different, based on life experiences & what God has freed us from.
Let the religious fanatics worship God the way they want to. If they do it to be seen of others, that is there reward. If they worship God because they love Him, God gives them freedom to do so.
People really can act fanatical when they are physically healed from a life threatening disease. But they really love God for what He did for them.
Religion (works)and God's Love & Salvation (grace) are two different things.

Yes, God is only concerned with the condition of your heart. He welcomes anyone who earnestly seeks and questions him. Fancy wording means nothing to Jesus Christ, reference the thief on the cross, who recognized Jesus as the Son of God, and Jesus knew the sincerity of his heart and told him he would be with him in paradise.
Also in your walk with God, the Bible is your handbook to help in all matters such as these, If a 'fanatic' is saying something, crossreference it with God's word, the Bible. That way you know what is truth and what is not.
How do you know the Bible is true?
Manuscripts, never has any document in history been more accurate and reliable, the Bible is the most accurate portrayal of history to ever exist.
Archeology, Everything stated in the Bible continues to prove true through discovered artifacts. Contrary to popular culture that the Bible contradicts itself, it absolutely does not.
Prophecy, There are more accounts of accurate prophecy fulfilled that eliminate the possibility of only human authors. God was written by God through man. Over 40 different authors in different segments of time write about the same subjects. And they didn't have the internet back then.
Science, Tons upon tons of items of science are referenced throughout the Bible that consistently are proven true, and that could not have possibly been known by human means at the time the manuscript was written.

You didn't say what "your style" is and what "religious fanatics do", so it's hard to answer this question. But, here goes. God is everywhere, you can talk to Him everywhere. Just make sure that you also take the time to listen and follow where He leads you.

Religious rules do not please God. Pray is talking with God. He only hear those that have trusted and believed in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross. He died for our sins, He was buried and took our sins away and He rose again the third day for our justification. John 9: 31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

You sound like a religious fanatic to me. How do the other fanatics actually pray?

Firstly, define religious fanatic.
Secondly, define 'your own style'. It's good to have faith in God and think of Him and talk to Him with your heart. Though personally, I dont think it's fair to ask God for 'things' because He knows what you need and dont forget to Thank Him for whatever he deals and for all that He has given. Thank God for sunshine ;)

There is Jewish tale about a group of wealthy merchants complaining to the Rabbi that one of the congregants is disturbing them by muttering under his breath. The Rabbi asks the man what and why is he is muttering. The man says that he is uneducated and does not know the prayers so he recites the alphabet so that the Lord can select the words for him.
The Rabbi goes back tot he complainers and tells them that the muttered alphabet of the man is more pleasing that their prayers because it is from the heart while their's are for show.
Speak to the Lord from you heart and He will listen.

I talked about God even as my squash seeds sprouted the different day. I talked about God when I held my brilliant acquaintances new toddler on the instantaneous. I talked about God even as my brother's truck slid on the ice and stopped one INCH faraway from the sting of the cliff one week in the past. I see God commonly used. he's not any longer going to take position as a wide deep voiced guy screaming from the clouds. you're searching for the incorrect element. it could be trouble-free to position self assurance in him if he became screaming from a cloud at you. Its no longer meant to be that glaring. How can we be examined if someone supplies us each and every of the solutions.

If you truly love Him then you already know the answer to that. A lot of fanatics never get to that point, they're too busy telling people they're going to hell. They miss the Treasure.

God wants you to talk to him as a friend if you are born again.
If you are not born again, he will not hear your prayers, except for the prayer of repentance.
I am not sure which religious fanatics you are referring to, but I am pretty sure I can guess.
