I am not a heratic, but I have never felt there was a religion for me. Everything seems as if man has forced his opinion into it.

I think if you feel that way, you are best doing research on your own.

"Religion is the feeble attempts of man to reach God by his own power and strength." Trahnel
Why are you looking at religions when you could have a personal relationship with God?
Read his handbook to humanity (The Bible) to discover a meaningful relationship. Start with the letter from John. It's the one right after Luke. Once you have done what the Christ taught then continue to read and study the whole collection of letters compiled in that one book (The Bible). It's only a mystery to those who don't understand.
A good source Bible to start with is a New Testament, Recovery Version. They are free from www.biblesforamerica.org

You are absolute right.........

Find a church (not religion) that you will receive God's help from. I mean help like: 1. turn of events in your life for the better, 2. Inner peace, 3. Better relations with friends and family.... and so on.
When you find your life improving, then you may have found the church that suits you.

Good luck in your search but remember that Satan can change into an angel of light too. So pray to God with all your heart and when you pray, know that he is sitting in front of you listening.

Your relationship with God is between you and Him alone, not anyone else, not any religion, nothing, noone. Ask Him for ways to teach you what He wants you to learn, He will find a way to send you His teachings, they will seem like coincidences, but you will get the idea after awhile. Don't consider yourself a part of any religion except just a child of God,ans a follower of Jesus.

I have felt that way in the past. The best thing to do is exactly what the Bible tells you to do. That is why God gave us his Word. Check out a church's statement of faith, if it fits to what the Bible says, with no deletions or additions, try it. Your right, man has forced their opinion into worshiping God. They want to omit what they don't want and add in foolish things to accommodate their goals, not the Kingdom of God,

Religions are wrong, GOD doesn't want religion, religion separates people, look for example in Ireland Catholics against protestants or in other countries Christians and Muslims, Muslims against Hindus and so on, Religion killed Jesus. What is important is that all your sins are forgiven and that you had accepted the Giff from heaven and that is Jesus as Lord and Savior.

I think everyone has to find their own way. If it works for you and is reasonable to a certain point then it's right. I only say it has to be reasonable because some crazy people think they have to kill other people to be religious and that's just wrong. I also think people should never force their religion on others.

Yeah, I totally get where you're coming from. It's like, religion has been passed down so many years and it's kind of lost its value. Sort of like a rumor too, because its been a part of life and stuff for so long, who really knows what to believe. Buddhism, I feel, is getting so much attention, I hope that it doesn't lose it's respect and all that. You know what I mean?

I felt the same way before, and I am a Christian. I said what makes Christianity different from the rest and and I found out that only in Christianity has our God, in the form of Jesus, conquered death and did this in the form of a human (Jesus dying on the cross for our sins). This is very important because, its not what we do that gets us into heaven but what Jesus has done for us.

I consider myself a very spiritual person, but not at all religious. I have a God of my understanding. Years of exactly what you mentioned, others' opinions of what God is forced down my throat. I have faith in Jesus Christ, and he's very loving, very unlike what I was taught he was. Now my eyes are open to the sunlight of the Spirit, and I see little "God" things all around every day. God Bles You. Good luck.

It's good to be searching. Just read the Bible and see if you think it's the truth.

Yes, someone has to be right and someone has to be wrong. Man has forced many (too many) opinions into it. Don't follow man. Men will fail you everytime.
