That's really nice of him to do that kind of stuff for you. I think he doesn't know how to show he loves you besides buying you stuff. Have you really sat him down and told him how much you love him and that you greatly appreciate all of the things he buys you? Have you ever told him that money doesn't buy you happiness? Tell him! He's not obsessed with you... he just loves you very much and he thinks that is what you want. If he gets aggressive and angry when you tell him not to buy you things then YES... he's a little too obsessive. Maybe he thinks you like men with money... you had mentioned that he doesn't really have it, but you do. I hope this helps you. GOOD LUCK!!! :)

Talk to him!! Ask him why he thinks he needs to spend money on him! And if you truly love him than you should understand! Explain to him how you feel about what he is doing!! And again if he truly loves you than he will understand!

You should be happy because he seems really sweet.

But since this is bugging you, why not talk to him about it? And tell him it makes you feel guilty, and you really don't mind sharing the cost sometimes.

Hope things work out!

I don't see this as being obsessed. It probably makes him very happy to be able to do these little things for you (if he looks at things the same way as I do, they are little tokens of love). But if it bothers you, tell him.

he trying to impress you with things, and it called buying your
affections. and you should let him know that not the case. next
time buy him something, take him out, etc. insist that you pay
the next time around no exceptions....... see how that goes. it
may also be his pride, since you have the money and he doesnt
so just be patient with him.

Nothing unless he beats you, treats you mean, tries to control your life, or isolates you from your friends and family. Otherwise, he is just a nice guy. Enjoy it.
