I am my mother's caregiver as she has severe COPD and is almost needing help 24/7. Both Mother and I are only children. I get no help from anywhere-not community or social service or anyone. I am overtired and overworked. I just can not understand where everyone else seems to get ALL the help they need or want!

Speak to your doctor and tell him your situation. He should know of resources in your community for this kind of help. Also, I recommend you seek out a support group. I did and they are eager to discuss options and solutions with you. They are my lifeline and now great friend. Good Luck

Ask your church for help. Ours puts requests in the weekly bulletin and asks for volunteers. Also ask your family doctor or insurance company. Good luck to you and God Bless.
