I read your last answers that you reference and no one that I could read who was a Christian called you "hateful, unhappy, and stupid" ... perhaps you could name the person who said that...

Do too a lot of Athiests on here saying that religion is fear based they took offence to your question.

It's like as if I told you something against your beliefs. You could take offence to what I say.

See one of the problems with this site is there are a lot of haters here. For example the Christian religion teaches understanding of others and they are not to judge anybody, but every time I turn around they are judging and not seeming to be able to accept anybody elses beliefs.

However this works both ways Athiests and other religions do the same thing which causes fights.

Now as for the Christian religion being based on fear.
No, it is not. It is something that was made up by those who hate Christians.

See it's like this. Is the only reason you don't kill anybody because you would go to prison? No, it's just morals. Prisons are there to protect the good from the bad. Think of Heavan and Hell the same way. We are not good because we are fearfull of prison or Hell.

The truth is Christianity is based on Gods love.

This being said, they try to use fear and other things when they fight against others. It's like this

athiest: Do you feel good about yourself bease you believe in a Mythological God.

Christian: At least I'm not going to Hell

Do you understand what I am saying?

I hope this helped

I think the key here is that you are looking to provoke Christians, I would like to see them just walk away from all of this. It serves no purpose. I have to admit I am puzzled as to why you even care. Since you seem to not like them. Not to mention your questions. Come on, really

your not being fair. The only thing you've proved is that you are fearful of Christians and so that must mean you hate us. TOO BAD you're missing out on some really great people. Just because you don't see eye to eye with them. INTOLERANCE on your part I'd have to say. You have exhibited several things that you yourself have blame Christians for. I think you should take a step back and reexamine yourself and what it is you really are trying to prove with all your crazy questions. Maybe you should consult one of those psychologist that you talked to, they just might be able to help you find some happiness.

That wasn't very nice of them.
But you are calling Christians "Crazy", so when you insult people, and target a specific group of people, you have to expect eventually one or two will snap and insult you back.

This doesn't make it correct. Christians who follow Christ, should turn the other cheek, and not call you stupid. Calling you "Unhappy" really isn't that insulting , but "stupid" is just mean.

Sometimes having their faith challenged disturbs some people. Don't judge everyone by the actions of a few. If these were true Christians, then I would certainly not want to go to their churches. Answering a question about their religion should be a basic function for anyone who has religious beliefs to help others understand why we believe as we do.

So, in answer to your question, my religion IS fear based...but I am not afraid of God, but of living on this planet without His protection and love. In the Bible it talks about having a "fear" of God, but in the old English it means to have a deep respect and awe for Him, not to be scared of Him. He is our Father, and we should not fear Him.

Sorry you had so many bad responses.
Some forms of Christianity have a vengeful God according to certain passages of their bible, i.e. turning people into pillars of salt, or saying they can't get into heaven if they don't do this or that. Unfortunately many are unable to view their religious beliefs objectively enough to see this. They need further religious (not bible) education to be able to see the full beauty and variety that different peoples have practising their religions.
p.s. Sorry, I'm an atheist who appreciates & respects religious beliefs of others.

I checked out your last question and, to some, it would seem like you were purposefully bashing their beliefs and trying to get a rouse rather than sincerely asking a question.
If your beliefs were being stomped on, I'm sure you'd get a little riled up. Walk in someone else's shoes for a change. You'll never know how much you'll learn, besides the fact that it's easy to earn a new pair of shoes.

Sorry, I haven't read the other responses, but a Christian should not attack an nonbeliever verbally. Actually, Christ said that to call some "ra-ca" (good for nothing) shall be guilty before the high court and whoever says "you fool" shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell
However, it is ok to quote Scripture to an nonbeliever saying that "He is already condemned because he has not believed upon the Son whom the Father has sent." Also, " a fool says in his heart that their is no God."

May have been based on fear at one point. But not now. More based on love for what he has done for me.

And not all of us are like that. Check out my blog. That will say more about how christians should be and not the way some of us tend to be in here.

Christians are human just like you. They do stupid things. I personally wouldn't bash someone for asking a question. I think it's hateful and not very Christian. But others don't always do the best thing.

How come 8 people hit me back because I spit on their car? Firstly, not everyone who calls themselves Christian is mature in their beliefs and behavior. Perhaps 88 mature Christians ignored that question and 8 growing Christians didn't. Secondly, there are spies/traitors/etc in every group. there are many non-Christians in every church. Don't judge everyone by the noticable few. If that were so, then every Asian owns a store, every black male snatches purses, every Indian is vegetarian, and every Jamaican smokes weed, and every white male have small penises.
