Hello. I am 17 years old, and I work full time right now in Albertsons pushing carts and bagging groceries. I watch what I eat and I think I do a lot of work at my job. Do I need to add cardio along with my 8 hours of work? I am pretty tired after work and I am never in the mood to go running, and I am exausted. What should I do? Is just working enough? I need some tips on how to lose some of this belly fat. Thanks a lot!

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

These guys have said a lot of good things and are probably right. In the case of burning bellyfat, it sounds like you are fairly active at work, honestly losing bellyfat is about 80% diet. Its kind of a hotpoint in some fitness circles, but i believe doing cardio on an empty stomach helps quite a bit for burning bellyfat. the best way of doing that is going for a 30 min run first thing in the morning right before breakfast. Good luck with your goals!

How to Prevent a Fat Belly?
If you are prone to store fat around your middle, the healthiest solution is to maintain a normal weight. By matching your calorie intake to your calorie needs and prevent weight gain, you will prevent the development of any excess fat.

How to Reduce a Fat Stomach?
However, if you already have a fat belly, the best option is to follow a healthy weight loss diet, combined with fitness exercises such as aerobics (to burn extra calories) and a stomach-toning workout to help tighten and strengthen abdominal muscles. That said, reducing a fat stomach takes time - especially if you are an apple-shape. Despite what commercials say, there is no diet-plan or type of exercise that can "target" your fat stomach. So please don't get impatient. Your fat belly will disappear, I promise.

try to diversify your workout routine, if you just stick with the cardio (like running) your body will just get use to it and adjust. If you workout like 4 times a week between doing cardio and some muscle toning excersizes (ab work, triceps, biceps, etc) you will start seeing results. And for the food, try sticking with things that are natural and easy to digest. When you're having a sandwich, check to see if the bread is wheat, white or whole grain. For dinner, stray away from carbs and heavy meat (like steak) since it takes long to digest. The only time you should eat carbs is during the day, so you can have energy to excersize and over all just feel good about yourself. the more confidect you feel the more results you will truly get.

Hi Chris, working full time is a drain on energy alright. One thing though, if you exercise, you get even more energy. Do something aerobic to get some air into your lungs and work up a sweat. In no time at all, you'll find yourself with scads of energy...p.s. drink a lot of water!
