I think I know what you are asking so I will answer as best I can.
To become an aircraft maintenance engineer of Airframe aand power plant mechanic as termed in the USA requires about 1900 hours of training. this is done in 3 stages.

1st comes General courses which include introduction to aircraft methods and mathematics as well as Federal Air Regulations (FAR)
2nd and 3rd you are required to take either aircraft airframe or aircraft power plant technology.
In airframe you study aircraft sheet metal, electrical systems, hydraulics, landing gears, and in total 19 or 20 different areas.
In power plant you study piston engine systems including radial engines and turbine engines as well as the accessories such as magnetos, starters, alternators, fuel systems etc.

When you have finished all three of these courses and pass you can then take the federal exams for each of the three subjects. you also must take and pass an oral and practical exam.

With the completion of all this you are then issued your certification.

It is best to attend a school for this and it generally takes from 18 to 24 months to complete.
