Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Ok, here goes....Referring back to last semester's college physics text book I can give you a rather rough estimate...

First, I want to find the amount of "work" it takes to do a single sit up. In physics, work equals "force" multiplied by the "distance" an object is moved. For here let's say that "force" equals 1/3 a persons body weight in pounds or their body mass since that is what is being moved in this case (in the process of sitting up right). Let's say that the distance is about 2 ft. since that's about how far the person is lifting themselves from the ground up.

Let's say the adv. persons wieght is about 140lbs. Convert that to mass and u get 63.5kg. One-third of that is about 21kg. Multiply that times 9.8 m/s*s (the value of the gravatational acceleration, not time to explain that here) and you get a force equal to about 206 Newtons of force that are needed to move that amount of mass. Mutiply that time the distance you move, 2 ft., and you get 412 Joules worth of work.

When speaking in dietary terms, what people refer to as a calorie is actually the equivalent of 1000 calories from a physics point of view (also called a Calorie, with a capitol C, or a kilo-calorie). If you convert 412 Joules of work to kcal, you get 0.098 kcal.

It takes about 3,500 Calories (i.e. kcal) to create 1 lb. of fat. That means there are about 80,500 Calories in 23 lbs. of fat. Now, given that one sit up burns only about 0.098 Calories for the adv. person, that means that it would require about 8 hundred and 21 thousand, 4 hundred sit-ups to burn off 23lbs. Good Luck With That ;) ....lol
