the guy will tactlessly call you out in front of everyone for something you may or may not be at fault for. he is master of making a mountain out of below sea level flat land ... either of his accomplishments or the latest horrific circumstances surrounding another monumental (read: trivial) tribulation.

If he's a coworker then just be glad he's not in charge of you and avoid the living hell out of him. But when he's pulling his "everyone must pay attention to me" stunts always use the utmost politeness and avoid confrontation, instead find a middle ground and don't get caught complaining about him. Why do I advise you to do the damn near impossible?
Because I had to train the most obnoxious and possibly craziest woman we've ever hired. She sat at my desk with me for over a month and I wanted to do anything to get rid of her but I couldn't bring my self to be rude. She was just so stupidly helpless. A few weeks later I needed a BIG favor from the higher ups and got it. I was shocked to learn the reason they gave me what I wanted is because they had observed me interacting with this horrible woman. They were impressed and grateful that I hadn't fostered her off on them. So I guess my point is if this guy drives you nuts then he is ticking off the powers that be too.

Believe me, you are not the only one at work who thinks he is an idiot. Every time this ding-dong opens his mouth, he is baring his back-end.
Ok. This is a proven method for me. Works EVERY time.
Pray for the guy every day for 30 days. I guarantee you will get an answer. It may be a totally unexpected answer but you will get one!
Don't lose your temper; show him tolerance and when he starts on one of his rants silently pray for him so that you keep your mouth shut. Then move away from him as quickly as possible.
I promise you are racking up some serious points!! My best to you!

Ask around your coworkers of Italian origin if they could connect you to the Don. Wait for the day when Don's daughter is getting married and schedule an appointment with the Don. Explain your situation to the Don, and ask if could provide any plausible solution.

Wow sounds like my ex- co - worker is now working with you, lol.After losing my temper one day with him, I just ignored him every day until he tooted his horn one too many times and the bosses realized when an idiot he was and fired him. Just ride it out and fate has a way of working itself out.
