It's a serious condition, mainly in babies, when the bowel "telescopes" in on itself, as one part slides into the other like a telescope. The medical term for it is intussusception. It can be dangerous, causing bowel obstruction and decreased blood flow to the bowel. The only treatment is surgery to correct the condition.

It is a bowel that slides down inside itself, called intessusception. It is a very dangerous condition causing the tissue of the bowel to become decayed. Medical attention immediately!
