Well, I think enough people have answered the "I am Christian and not always happy" part. Now let me address the crazy people are always happy.
Apparently you haven't been to a retirement community, mental hospital or an addiction recovery center lately. Half of these people you would probably generalize as "crazy", but you sure couldn't generalize them as happy.
Not sure what arm chair psychologists you refer to, but I could refer you to some professionals that I work with on a daily basis at our hospital.
Have a happy day!

. . . I'll be honest, I have trouble considering homosexuality to be that massive of a sin. I mean, you found love, and it's in someone of the same gender. Good for you for findin' it. I do know that suicide is a pretty hefty sin, as you're essentially 'giving up', as opposed to taking the chance and risk associated with living. I don't know the specifics, as I really don't see that it matters. I figure, after death, we're more or less weighed on the good and bad that we did. Yet, I do believe that, if the reason behind why we did the bad thing is valid--or vice versa--then it lessens the weight of that sin. ...I'm not the person to ask about this, though. I'm an Anglo-Saxon Protestant Christian who believes small bits and pieces of many other religions and cultures out there. (I also believe that reincarnation may be valid, yet I've no clue. I don't exactly recall what happens once we shuffle off this mortal coil, y'know?) Oh, and I know what you're talking about. My aunt--the one I hate because, she's been mean to me ever since I was like.. 3 months old, give or take.. is also a lesbian. I don't like her personally, but I'm not about to say that's she gonna go to hell for her taste. I mean, with all the **** I've done, I'd say I'm more apt to go to hell than she is. Again, though, I'm really not the person you'd want to ask about this.

Those are foolish comments, I am a Christian and I am not always happy. This life that we live courtesy of GOD was not meant to be all fun and games, contrary to what you may think. Yes Men are that they may have Joy, but we also are to learn and have experiences here in this life. Opposition in all things. I have had some incrediable experiences and I have had some that I wish I didn't have to go through. Once you have an understanding of what GOD's plan is all about things begin to make better sense. I lost my oldest daughter almost three years ago. It was the toughest thing to date that I have had to go through what I can say is that at the time I struggled. I was upset with Heavenly Father. My prayers were not answered in the way that I had hoped, but that didn't mean that GOD had left me or that I had done anything wrong. We can not even begin to understand everything there is to know. This life is for learning and growing. Heavenly Father wants to see if we will curse him in our trials, or still stand strong in our trust and faith in Him. Not always easy. Especially since my daughter was on her way home from a church activity. What I have learned though is invaluable. I stand strong in knowing that one day this life will end and I will have a perfect knowledge of everything that really matters at that time. I'm not a crazy person. I have had my trials and alot of them lately, but I still stand strong in a for sure knowledge of How great GOD is and how much He really loves us. I'm thankful for the tender mercies that I have received along with a peace and comfort that I receive from my Savior Jesus Christ. I'm sorry for whatever has happened that has caused you to FEAR AND HATE all Christians because that's all I'm seeing from your questions. I think you've got it backwards. I hope that one day you will experience the greatness that comes from have a sure knowledge of GOD and Jesus Christ and how wonderful it can be but let me assure you it's not a piece of cake or a walk in the park. There are trials and some of them are pretty tough. Thus, we are not happy all the time I can guarantee that. At peace, yes always.

No, Christians are not always happy. We're human and are subject to the ups and downs of every day life, just like you are. But Christians are more often happy, because we have a good reason to be.

No, no Christian is happy, as the world understands it, all the time. My life is miserable, my own fault mostly, but is the truth. Yet I would not even concider not being of The Christian Faith. Even if that were possable for me, which it is not. Once of the True Christian Faith alway of The Faith There is no going back from it. But it is not a guarantee of continued happiness in this mortal life either.
Just the assurance of God's Word to me that I have a place in heaven when he determins my time is up in this mortal world
If I were not of the Christian Faith I would have, in all liklyhood, blow'n my brains out long ago. That is not an option for me now...Praise God

No, I'm a Christian and I am crap right now. Not happy. In fact, the last few weeks have been really tough because of the pressure of living up to the Christian life style. It ain't all fun and games, and you aren't always happy. But in the end it will be worth it.

No, christians are not always happy. In fact, our pains may be even deeper than yours because we have entered into a transformative process where a lot of stuff in us is worked out of us. But...christians are joyful...there's a difference. The joy does not come from anything outside of them...it is the 'joy of the Lord' that flows into their hearts. Not something you would know about as an atheist.

Christians are not always happy! Where did you get that idea?
Thats like saying that Athiests are cranky, irritable, and are often angry at the world. Psychologists that those are signs of depression.
So.....Christians have some chemical imbalance that make's them always joyful and Athiests have depression.
I don't beleive that at all. I have many Athiest friends who are very happy.
We all are human. But we do not have to suffer alone wen God is only a prayer away.

I'm a Christian and I'm not always happy. I have more peace and am more content now that I'm a Christian, but that doesn't mean I never get sad, upset, etc. I'm not looking to always be happy. Happy is just another emotion.
Atheists seem depressed to me, but that doesn't mean they are all depressed.
