I noticed a slight pain in my right leg last night before I went to sleep. It was mild, and I thought nothing off it.
Today it has progressively gotten worse. It doesn't really hurt to walk, but it's kind of a dull ache... rather like the ache that lingers for a few hours after having a leg cramp, though I haven't had a cramp in several months.
However, it is very tender to the touch, and I just noticed that I have a faint pinkness on my leg. It's not a rash... it's more like the pink of a bug bite. It's in a semi-circular pattern starting just slightly off from my shin arcing down across the inner side of my half and then back up to just under my knee.

What the hell is it? Otherwise I feel fine, aside from a slight headache.

I don't think it's the potassium. I did a quick search on good sources of potassium, and I eat several of these foods regularly.

Maybe lack of Potassium (Vitamin K). A severe Potassium deficiency can cause leg cramps. Take a multi-vitamin or eat a couple bananas and see if it goes away. You can also do light leg excercises to increase blood circulation. Don't drink too much water though in case it is a Potassium deficiency because Potassium is water-soluble and it whatever Potassium you have left will get washed out of your system. If pain continues, call your doctor.

PS: In observation of "Only M"s repsonse, it's not Restless Leg Syndrome, that's when you just shake your foot while your legs are crossed or something all the time without even noticing it. Or when you're laying down they kind of tingle like they're asleep. It's also not a blood clot because it would be purpleish-blue like a bruise. But it is true that a bad blood clot in your leg can kill you if not treated.

It could be lack of potassium, i would also try increasing your water intake to improve your circulation. Many times when people get achy it is from dehydration. if neither helps and it gets worse, i'd go to a doctor.

Restless leg syndrome.l Go to the doctor and ask about it, they will give you some meds to take care of that for you...or you have a blood clot in your leg and you are going to die if you don't go to the hospital now.

Please ignore the insanity on this site. What you are describing may be a blood clot (venous thrombosis). This can KILL YOU! Go to the doctor or emergency room NOW! NOW. Get off the Internet and have a family member or friend take you now. I may be wrong, but you should be very careful about the symptoms you are describing. GO!

I think that you should take this more seriously and go to the hospital and get that checked out because we are not doctors and it sound like you need one .
