Whats the best way to say no to a guy who asked you out, but you'd just rather be freinds?

Do it quick, and just be honest. If he is a gentleman he will understand.

There is no "painless" way to do it. The best way is to be honest and sympathetic.

Perhaps say something to the effect of:

"I really value you as a friend but I do not have the feelings for you that you would like for me to have. I do not want this to affect our friendship but I will understand if it does. I am sorry and I really do not want to hurt you."

Honesty is the best way to go, dont lead him on. He will thank u for it when hes older and not still obsessed and wondering.

i just tell the guy im srry i dont think it will work and they seem 2 b ok with it!!!!!!!!! but i no some pplz that just tell them 2 bak off and that they r really weird!!!!!!!!! lol just let him down easy ok!!!!!!!!!! u dont want 2 hurt him 2 bad
