INTERNATIONAL --> INTERNATIONAL
After you deplane, you might have to clear passport control, unless you depart from Canada, some Caribbean Basin country, Dublin (Ireland), and Shannon (Ireland). Have some snacks, or browse something before you head to security screening checkpoint. There are only a few number of shops and restaurants so be sure that you have ate and bought everything you need before go to the security screening checkpoint. And you will board your aircraft soon. Minimum time required: 3 1/2 hours (according to the rules).

The procedure is almost the same as INTERNATIONAL --> INTERNATIONAL, but sometimes you have to change terminal and this might take time. Minimum time required: 3 hours (according to the rules).

DOMESTIC --> DOMESTIC
I haven't fly from domestic flight to another domestic, so after you deplane, you should ask the airport staffs if you need to recollect your baggage or not and check-in. Then, head for your terminal where your airline will depart. You will board your aircraft soon.

as far as i know from my dad, it is a bit confusing but i am assuming you get a ticket for each plane you go on. but for safteys sake, since i wouldnt want you getting lost in the U.S.A when it is your first time here, if i were you i would ask the people when you get your ticket
