Sin is sin. If Bible-thumpers what to crucify homosexuals, they also have to string up their sons and daughters having premarital sex and the freaks among them having anal sex. It'd be easier to have a shred of respect for people making a moral stand (despite disagreeing with them) if it wasn't for the fact they were being active hypocrits.

One of the key words is assuming.
If God has a plan for everyone and, as science is starting to see and as I've seen from talking with some gay people, their preference became known to them around age 4 or 5, then this could be predesination, as some sects calls it.
If God makes people homosexual, it must be for a reason. One also has to wonder about questioning God's wisdom or ways.
When free will is taken out of the equation, then how can it be sin? Sin is by choice. The means free will. You choose to sin.
Those who, at age 4 or 5 are naturally attracted to the opposite sex, but "can't score" for some reason (looks, weight, etc., ) and then take up sex with anyone or anything (same sex, animals, prostitutes, etc.) then that becomes FREE WILL. You are now chosing to be that.
You chose to sin or not to sin and everyone knows what sin is. Sin is doing to others want you wouldn't want done to you. Stealing, murdering, hurting, etc.
Everyone knows this.
Gratification for the sake of gratification...
It is just as sinful for a man to extract sex from his wife when she really is not a willing partner as any other form of gratification just for gratificatioin at any cost.
I guess the basic definition for behavior that's in need of correction is, are we acting like animals or something better than that!
Everyone has to decide that one!

No. A sin is a sin.
Practicing homosexual sex acts is on an equal level as premarital sex, adultery, murder and idolatry.
Having homosexual desires is not necessarily a sin, but more along the lines of something that needs to be dealt with, much like a married person who looks longingly at someone other than their spouse needs to deal with their issues as well.
It is acting on an improper desire that is a sin.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 “What! Do you not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. And yet that is what some of you were.”

No. Sin is sin, as has been said. Probably the difference is the result of this sin versus the result of some other sin.
Homosexuality isn't a problem for God. He is perfect, holy and righteous.
Who gets aids and falls into guilt and degradation from homosexuality is humanity. God didn't say it was a sin for nought. And if you study your Bible, you will find that everything God told us not to do, is something that will hurt someone. He's just trying to protect us, as we might a little child.
My son, when he was eight months, kept trying to put his hand on the wall heater. I kept moving him away from it because it was sort of hot and I thought it might burn him (not badly, but still it was hot). It wasn't a problem for me. I knew it was hot. I knew to stay away from it. Besides I was tougher, it wasn't going to hurt me much. I was trying to protect my son from getting hurt.
But after many times of my taking him away from the heater, I allowed him to touch it because he was so determined. Then he cried and didn't touch it any more.

It's rather difficult to think of homosexuality as a 'sexually addictive sin'. One sin, Lust, can be applied not only to sexuality, but when it is, by definition, is only a sin outside of a consensual relationship: a husband and wife 'lusting' for each other is not seen as a sin. Adultery is an act of sensuality or sexuality, committed consensually, with someone other than one's spouse. Fornication has different definitions for different people, but seems to be accepted as sexual acts committed without regard to marriage: non-married couples, who are sexually active are, by definition, fornicators. Rape is an act of sexuality, committed against another person without his or her consent. All of these acts, accepted as 'sins' can be committed by anyone, regardless of gender, gender identification or gender preference. 'Sin' is a funny concept and is loosely translated, in most religious text as a 'mistake' and not a 'crime against God'. Another odd thing about sin, as it applies to the Bible and Christianity, is that the degree of severity, as well as the validity of the sin, changes with each biblical translation and passing generation. Idol worship is a sin, yet we pray to the cross and effigy of Christ. Until almost two hundred years ago, the enslavement of a people was supported by passages in the bible and, until halfway into the last century, more passages condoned the oppression of that same people, yet none of those actions were considered sinful. It is no longer considered sinful to eat meat on Good Friday (or any friday, for that matter), attend church with our heads uncovered, wear fabrics of mixed fibers, sleep with our wives during their menstral cycles, etc. The Sabbath, which was reserved as the day of prayer, meditation, reflection and communion, was changed from Saturday to Sunday (Pagans prayed to the 'Sun-God' on Sunday). Our goals include the aquisition of land, fine clothing, accessories, collectables, entertainment and money, forgetting that greed is also a sin. Pride is a sin, yet we love to spout our acheivements and receive awards for our deeds. Have you ever watched a 'Gospel Awards' show? We actually give someone an award because they are the best at 'praising god'. Now we deem another people unworthy in the eyes of God, and assume the right to restrict their behavior, living conditions, employment and mating options because obscure passages in the bible indicate that their choice is a sin, yet we forget that the bible also says that it is not our place to judge. "This you do in memory of me"?. Maybe denying God's love to another person is the greatest sin of all.

All sin is dangerous. Homosexuality is extremely dangerous. Romans Ch 1 starting in ver.18 tells us that those who reject God are given over to the desires of their heart-....and so on---they become homosexual. So, not only is it a sin-it is a spiritual state of mind that traps those who God gives up on. It would scare the hell out of me.

Sex of any variety is not a sin. God gave us the equipment to have sex. He gave us free will to have it with whom ever we please. If He had wanted it done in some particular way that would have been the only way possible to have it.
God could care less who you have sex with, or how ,
or how often you have it. The only ones who pretend sex is a sin are the people who want to control you with the guilt this idea induces. God made sex fun so you would have fun with it. Don't let some control freaks spoil it for you. It is Gods gift to you.

It sounds like you've been around too many condemning Christians. It's our job to love and uplift our fellow men and women. Sexual addiction and sexual perversion are 2 different things. They are both considered sin, according to The Holy Bible. God will deliver anyone from anything all you have to do is ask.

NO, sin is sin. Trying to say one is worse then the other is bad. All sin keeps us from the presence of GOD and our Savior Jesus Christ. It also drives away the Holy Ghost.
