well if you believers (christians i presume) just minded your own god damned business, then I am sure atheist would not waster their valuable time to "crush"(what the hell you mean by crush?) you believers. But no you mormons, jehovah's whatevers, evangelists, christians, moslems and whatsisnames go all out to convert atheists with all your believes. so leave them alone and they wont "crush" you.

I'm not an atheist, but I'm not a christian either or any religion for that matter. I have my own beliefs. I don't think that someone or even a group of someones can make you stop believing. If you believe in what you believe in then that's OK, I also think that you have a strong enough mind and remember that mind is yours and you are the one who changes it, not any one else. So please don't say that they are trying to "Crush" a believers faith. If you don't want your faith crushed, then it's not going to be crushed. Only you have that power to change your mind. As for saying what they feel, they are perfectly aloud to do that; just as you are.

Personally, I try to crush a 'believers' 'faith' because I reallize that the product of modern-day religious beliefs are leading to the eventual (and historically immediate) collapse of our culture. This goes for jews, christians, buddhists, muslims, etc.

The fact is, the world was NOT created for us, yet most religions preach otherwise. And this viewpoint, which has been instilled in the minds of humans for thousands of years, has led to the almost complete destruction of our planet (I say almost, because there is still a chance for us, but only if there is a fundamental shift in belief systems throughout the modern world).

Even most athiests, for that matter, believe that we are the masters of our world. OUR WORLD! That we can do whatever we want to it because it is ours! This is the belief that has been adopted by modern religious beliefs, and religions continue to propagate this lie because it is fundamentally part of their belief system. Without destroying modern religion (as we know it), before long, our culture WILL collapse. It's a fact. Count on it.

And feel free to email me with questions and I will provide more detailed answers to why religious beliefs are bringing the human world to an end.

From an Agnostics point of view, anyone can believe what they choose however, it is the religiously faithful who cast hell and damnation on the non religious.

Especially those who claim to be non-religious yet hold to the Bible as the only truth.

I've seen Jehova's witnesses get busted for taking pictures of boys at airport bathrooms and lesbians caring for foster children whose mother's alcoholism caused a stroke in the womb. Tell me what is truth?

If the "believers" did not damn the non believers even if only through attempted conversion, we would not be having this discussion.

They are not crushing my faith, just strengthening it. The bible even says in the last days mans heart will turn cold to Him.

Don't let strangers crush your faith. Especially when you see how mean-spirited some of them are on here. It's a good thing they are here anyway. Even the one's who are just trying to cause trouble. I think they are really searching and looking for answers (in a round about way). Otherwise they wouldn't waste their time here.

Know in your own heart why you believe what you believe. It's a journey.

If by "crush believers' faith" you mean pointing out obvious fallacies, inconsistencies and errors in common Christian dogma, sorry. We think that reason is a GOOD thing, and we also like to share.

I'm an agnostic, not an atheist, but everybody else lumps the two groups together so why shouldn't I?

First, it's spelled "atheist". And I don't see why it needs to be placed in quotation marks. Anyway, this is a free board for all religions and non-religions. We aren't trying to crush beliefs, we're defending our own beliefs. And in some cases, prevent the religious from taking away the rights of others.

Probably because most atheists don't believe because they just don't know and are seeking. Others are trying to get reactions out of us. So react accordingly. For the first ones though. Just answer their questions as best you can and ignore the inappropriate ones.
So start planting, watering, and fertilizing those seeds out there so God can harvest 'em up.

Because it's more fun to watch us whine with questions like this one. If we wouldn't let it bother us, they might stop. Plus, they really do believe that they're helping people by telling them what not to believe, the same way you would feel like you were helping someone by telling them all atheists want to do is crush their faith and they should avoid them.

It goes both ways...when believers stop trying to convert athiests, then too will athiests stop hassling the believers.

It's just one of those things, but so long as you're secure in your own beliefs then you shouldn't worry about it!
