I don't have diabetes. What could be causing this? The doctors don't seem to have an answser.

Some meds can cause it as well. But if your docs don't know, we wont be much help either.

So see a specialist, and if your docs are specialists, see other specialists!

There a number of causes of polyneuropathy and a specialist can help rule out a number of causes. I met a man who was through that process and they were not able to find a cause. It can be disconcerting to first have pain and then lose sensation in the feet and then the hands. You must take care of them to avoid problems with ulcers and such problems!

Polyneuropathy can be caused by B1 deficiencyamong those who eat only polished cereals.(called Beriberi),pregnancy,drugs like sulfas, or Idiopathic syndromes like Gullian-Barry .
