umm, yes. Most girls' bodies have not developed fully enough to carry a baby. They are still growing and developing. They physically CAN have a baby, but it is not good for their bodies OR their babies, which tend to be underweight and premature. One girl I knew gained 100 pounds when she was pregnant at that age, because she didn't know enough about nutrition and her body was trying to catch up developmentally.

13 is too young for the responsibility of parenthood. Babies are cute until you are up all night long 8 weeks straight and they throw up or poop all over your favorite clothes. You should enjoy being 13 and if you like babies, babysit. You should also really talk to your parents or an adult friend about this, as well.

Furthermore, teenage parents often end up poor and uneducated their whole lives. Those who finish college, get good jobs, and are happy are the exceptions, not the rule. Most teenage parents end up on government programs their whole lives. It is not the kind of life you dream of, I promise. If it is, you don't have very good goals, and could do so much better. Plus, what if your baby is handicapped, which happens because of the rate of premature babies? How are you going to deal with that? Being a parent of a handicapped child is hard enough without still dealing with adolescent problems.

Yeah, it is. You can GET pregnant at 13 but it's not a smart move. Your young body can't handle a baby, you haven't matured enough. Plus, you're too young to be mentally mature enough to have a baby. There are so many things in life that haven't been experienced at 13. What would a 13 year old do to support the child? You can't work at that age. You can't drive. It's not fair to the child that is brought into the world.

But, being pregnant before growth slows to almost a stop (19 for most girls) can rob the body of the proper chemistry, and can lead to bone problems, and possible cervical cancer.

13 is way too young to be pregnant. I work at a youth service advocacy center and I see a lot of young girls who become mothers. I'd like to give you a little information regarding pregnancy and teenagers. At the age of 13, your body isn't done going through puberty regardless of how early you started your menstral cycle. Your hormones are still changing and becoming pregnant at such a young age isn't healthy for your body. Besides your body being too young to carry a child, emotionally, and mentally a 13 year old isn't ready to carry the burden of being a parent-regardless of how grown up she may think she is. Babies are expensive and even with the aid of public assistance it still isn't enough. I personally don't believe it's fair to bring a new baby into the world when it's mom is barely out of diapers herself.

I would suggest to any 13 year old who has found herself expecting to talk to someone who is in the medical profession about the risks of being pregnant at such a young age.

Hell yes!!! 13 young is too young to be screwing. When your a teen your fickle. You change your mind ever 2 minutes...so in 2 minutes you wouldnt wanna be pregnant. At 13 your not emotionally,physically or financially stable...meaning in no shape, form, or fashion are you ready to nurture another life because you are simply not ready. Between 13-19 you have so many things to do that a baby will disable you from doing..unless you have ur parents to help you with. But even then its not fair to them because they laid down and had u that child soooo..... yeah 13 is tooo young.

P.S. Hell i jus turned 18 and im nowhere near ready to have a child ... emotionally and damn sure not financially.

YEAH its way to young i mean u half to think about that baby's future i mean come on theres been alot of teenagers dieing from being pregnant at a young age. Plus not to mention ur still a kid ur self ur not to grown up to raise a baby not to mention to provide it with every little thing its gonna need . Trust me taking care of a baby is alot of work i know i've been there i've made that mistake. If this is a true thing i would wait until ur out of school and finished with college and have a steady job before u decide to have kids. If it is true i would start to figure out what kinda future u can offer that baby cuse if u are pregnant than there isnt gonna be anymore hanging out with your friends or going to party's its gonna be nothing but baby 24/7 on ur mind.

if you are asking that question u r obviously young and immature go right ahead and be a 13 yr old mother get on public aide drop out of school live in trailer or the projects be poor work at some dumb restaurant oh yeah that's right you 2 young to work a 8th grade education is all you'll need to make it life get an apartment and pay rent or are ya thinking that mommy is gonna pay for it all don't be dumb you have a lifetime to worry about kids get your life together first
