I've been teaching for 13 years, and in that time I've had many Muslim students (and students from every other major religion in the world).
I've yet to meet a Muslim who was not kind, hard-working and full of faith. Surely this does not mean that ALL Muslims are kind, but the Muslims I have gotten to know have been.
When people write or say negative things about Muslims, I wonder: "Have these people ever gotten to know someone who follows the religion of Islam?"
Perhaps if they had, they'd find it very hard to not have a positive view the religion, or those who practice it.

I think I prefer Muslims to Christians. I don't hate all Christians, only the fanatics who try to convert me, doom me to Hell or say they will pray for me.
Concerning Muslims: of course they're the same! They just have a different religious perspective. Diversity makes this world better. Imposing your beliefs on others, however, does not.
Someone said she hated it when Muslims tried to convert her... Funny, I have never seen Muslims do this, only Christians. Hell, who has missionaries? Who thumps bibles?
Oh, right, before I fail to mention this, I am an atheist and a Satanist who looks at all this hypocrisy ("They aren't human"... Hell, look who's talking! Does anyone who would cast out the title of "not human" with such ease to anyone that thinks differently from them really deserve the title of human being? And anyways, humans are just animals, they're not always all that great either)with an ironic eye.

Lets see. It's bad to hate or dislike Muslims, but it is more than alright for Muslims to despise Jews.
It's not that I hate or dislike people who happen to be Muslims - I find their religion (Islam) evil and two faced.
I am certain that there are "some" Muslims who do not hate Jews or anybody..., however.., the Muslims are as a majority haters of Jews and if you ask an Arab Muslim if he is a Jew (without knowing he is muslim).., LOOK OUT!
My Grandfather (when he was alive) innocently asked a man if he was a Jew..., and this Muslim went rabid spitting mad as if my Grandfather had called his mother a prostitute or worse.
If someone confused me for a Jew or some other race, I would not get so ripped about it. I might laugh but would never be angry.

Victor ious, you truly have mastered the skills of using fallacious reasoning. If only I could master the technique behind the fallacy of composition, or tu quoque, or the fallacy of hasty generalization, or the skill required in using the entire family of fallacies on ambiguity! But, I digress.
They are humans, that much is certain. I have many Muslim friends myself and they are loyal, friendly, and great people. In every religion, nay, in every organization of any type, there will ALWAYS exist rotten apples. I do not make the mistake of attributing the actions of some to the entire group.

I think the thing that bugs me about muslims is that when an atrocity occurs... christians and others will stand up and say thats horrible, Muslims however seem to stand silent. If its wrong, its wrong whether your muslim, christian, hindu, It makes no difference what you believe... genocide is wrong. sadam had to go... His sons were murderers and rapists. I likewise dispise what is happening to muslims now... but much of what is happening is because they should have stood up and stopped it before it did. Instead they perpetuate hate in their schools; in their textbooks; against jews, against americans and the west. I do not support the liar that we have elected here in america and am looking to change that but you need to look to yourselves for the issues that brought much of this about... not all of it was your fault mind you there is shame to go around even here in the west. But hate will only get hate back. We are all given the right by god to believe in a supreme being and only answer to him in the end. So live and let live.

It's nice of you to think they are the same. Many of them think you are less. You are NOT their friend with prejudice.
How can you be civil to someone who thinks that you have no right to exist if you are not a follower of Islam?
I do not think they are sub-human of trash, but they are dangerous as a group. It's like trying to be civil to a carnivore; you want to play "nice", they want you for lunch.

I agree, Muslims are people with a different religious view. However they are still people. Unfortunately, there are some fanatics among them who create problems for the rest of us.
