Uh unless you like men let's go for something a little more masculine. Try black and blue... Or if you do like men, pink and purple. Kay! Or just learn how to spell kaythanks!

Although I do love a man in a pink shirt, I'd choose something else for the first day at a new place. I'm all for personal style, but I'd pick something that made more of a confidence statement. Try a deep red color shirt paired with a dark grey suit and solid tie of your choice. Save the pink for later down the road. Good luck with the new job!

NOT PINK.... having worked in a financial institution pink was frowned upon until the guy was figured out. Go with blue, means cool confident, or forest green, means money. If you are fair skinned go with charcoal grey or navy blue with blue under. Dark skinned go with a darker suit if at all possible. Good luck.

grey and pink doesn't seem like the "strong professional" type. Go with something more common. Maybe wear a blue shirt instead. I once went to an interview and I wore a 3/4 jacket (not an outside jacket...more like a blazer) over my oufit. I knew the cleaner there and they told me that the woman who interviewed me made a note that she didn't like my outfit ( although it was in style and she was wearing LEAPORD print). Anyway, don't wear the pink shirt.

It depends what kind of impression you're trying to make. Red conveys power, passion and confidence. Green conveys trustworthiness and safety. Black will separate you from the rest of the group, unless everyone's wearing black, then you should go for grey for the same effect. Blue is always safe, not bad but not really that good either. Brown is good if you're trying not to be noticed, because you will turn invisible if you wear it. The only color you definitely don't want is orange, because it will make you seem unstable at best and psychotic at worst.

I wouldn't wear the grey and pink on the first unless I was gay. Wear another color on the first day. I realize that there are a lot of straight guys that wear and look great in pink, my husband being one of them, but don't push it on the first day.

Grey fine, pink ok after you've been there a bit. Grey suit, white shirt, tie that co-ordinates, with maybe a bit of color.

only certain guys can pull of pink. Just make sure it works for you. Or you could go with a more traditional color suit, probably shouldn't be to flashy on your first day. You may look over eager, then again, go with what makes you comfortable, and good luck.

You might want to go more traditional on the first day...maybe gray, but with a more subtle shirt...one with a thin stripe maybe? It can be a very conservative industry so you might want to play it safe for the first day or two until you get a feel for the place. Good luck on your new job.
