It's bleeding because there is a foreign object lodged in it...this will not only cause infection, but can possibly cause you to have to go in and have them cut it open again...Call your oral surgeon, that's what he's there for...you'll be more miserable if it gets infected...even with the antibiotics that you should have received, it is not a guarantee that you will not experience other problems...give him a call, you are entitled to a visit after tha\e extractions if that is what you are worried about...good luck, I KNOW mouth pain...it's not fun...

Rinse your mouth with salt water 2-3 times a day for at least the next week and the clot will heal fine. If any food is lodged in the clot, it will come out on it's own; don't worry about it. If it's sore, take Ibuprofen for the pain.

As the skin is healing back together it will come out. I had the same problem the food back there bothered me. Someone suggested a "water pick".
They are at Wal-mart. $30 in the tooth isle.
It is a machiene that shoots extreme water pressure in between your teeth and in holes. You can adjust the pressure for sensitive areas. You will be amazed of what comes out! It's nasty! You'll wonder how you ever did without one! It's amazing what a toothbrush, floss, and toothpicks don't get!

You might try using a tweezer if you can get it into the holes and pinch it out. When you had your molars removed, they should have filled the holes with some stuff. I'm not sure what it was , but when I had a molar pulled, they put some gritty stuff in the hole before stitching it.

when the gum heals the food wont get stuck inside...dont worry. just keep your mouth clean by rinsing with warm salt water after you eat. that will get food out. but dont use anything like mouthwash b/c thats irritating. avoid hot foods like soup and drinks or let them cool down. try not to pick the food out b/c that will make it hurt and bleed.

Had that.
I would scoop out the gunk with a toothpick (rounded-side of course), it was awful, but someone's gotta do it!!
As it heals (closes) it will not close over the food. No worry.

Rinse with salted water, ALOT.
