Certainly no offense to you or anyone trying to lose weight, but Slim fast,, I promise,,,will not help weight loss, when accompanying a BIG MAC, super size fries, and 2 apple pies,,,for example.

Proper eating is the healthiest, most proper way to control weight,,,from the first day.

Eating is certainly necessary to help sustain existance, among other NEEDS our species has, but is also, often used, emotionally.

I'm not at all overweight, in fact I'd be very happy to gain another 20 pounds. I do know this however, from personal experience. I CAN EAT LESS, and lose weight, and still remain relatively healthy, active, and satisfied.

It also may relate to HABIT? I find that one can lose,,, in weight,,, just what they ingest, without chemicals, surgery, or other advertised products or methods.

I personally have no glandular issues, or genetic issues, that might cause excessive gains, or NEEDS to eat to suplant more than what noruishment I need, but I know I can easily lose a pound or more, per day, just by eating less.

How is works is by you not eating a meal, but rather drinking one of their drinks instead. The drink will have nutrients, and fewer calories than say a fast food meal. How you keep weight off is by continuing to not eat as much food and/or use your body more. This isn't rocket science and it's how I went from over 200 lbs to a more healthy 135 lbs. I used Slim Fast, for a while, but got bored and ended up eating more and gaining more weight. I finally went with the "use the body more - eat less food" method. Damned if it didn't work. Just like grandma always said it would. You might want to try it, but you also might want to save your money and just eat less food and go for some nice walks in the morning and evening. Worked for me. Good luck!

There is no quick solution to weight loss. Every pound of stored body fat represents about 3,500 calories. If everyday for a week you use 500 calories more than you take in, you'll use up one pound of fat (500 calories x 7 days = 3,500 calories = 1 pound body fat). Doubling your efforts to eat less and exercise more would create a 1,000 calorie deficit per day. That leads to two pounds of fat lost in a week. This may not sound like much, but if you think of it over the long haul, instead of next month's class reunion, one to two pounds a week could add up to 50 to 100 pounds less a year from now. Eating less fat is an effective way to shift your energy balance to your benefit, but beware! Not long ago, eating less fat meant avoiding potato chips, premium ice cream and greasy snack crackers. Today we can buy fat-free and reduced-fat versions of all of these. Watch out for the trap of eating more because you think a food has less fat. A handful of regular potato chips provides 120 calories. A handful and a half of fat-free potato chips also provides 120 calories. The bottom line is energy balance. If you consume more calories on average than your body uses, the extra energy (no matter what the source) becomes body fat. An extra 100 calories a day over a year becomes 10 pounds of fat! If you don't like the way you look, use that as your motivation to work hard for the body you want. Exercise doesn't have to be hard and boring - if you dance for an hour 4-5 days a week to your favorite energetic songs you will be getting a really good workout, burning lots of calories and will be having fun in the process. Even a hula hoop can burn calories. Swimming is another great way to lose weight which is also fun to do - swimming is the only sport in which every single part of your body is getting a workout. Swim several laps each day, enjoy the beach and watch those pounds melt off of you. You can do it - good luck!

Pills, drinks, diets and all that sort of garbage does not work! Here is what does; look at what you eat, is it healthy? Veggies, fruits, lean meats, healthy snacks, nothing after dinner time and lots of water. No sugar, white stuff (bread, pastas), no sodas. Do you exercise? Walk, hike, work out a a gym at least 30 minutes a day at least 3-4 times per week, more would be better.

It is getting healthy, not losing weight, that you need to put into your head. It is a lifestyle change, you change the bad lifestyle you lose weight AND KEEP IT OFF.

Fruits & veggies waaaay better than Slim Fast...
even the one with less sugar (Optima?)

Smaller portions of nutritious meals, so much variety...

Simply give up the junk food! And WALK for 20...30mins,
3-5x week
You will lose weight

It works if you really follow the guidelines and eat healthy! I just wanted to lose 5 pounds so I had a shake for breakfast and one for lunch and then a good dinner. I was hungry by about 4pm but I kept going! Now I drink a shake either for breakfast or lunch but not both. I also try and walk three days a week, and watch my calorie intake. I love chocolate so I have to give myself rewards certain days of the week!!

I used it for a while, I never lost anything on it, besides that, the first 4 ingredients are sugar. I lost 95 lbs in 8 months using a program called Shapeworks. I have kept it off for over 4 years now. Here is the webiste where I got it: www.loseweightnow.com/tfward

I used Slimfast several years ago. I drank Slimfast milkshakes for breakfast and and dinner and ate a regular lunch. I lost weight. THe best way to keep it off is to exercise aerobically for 3-5 times a week.
