i figured the guy we bought the pup from had another (unwanted)male pit breed w/ his dog (that happens round here) thats why he wasn't selling them for that much

Unfortunately, I think the breeder fooled you into thinking it was a pure bred. He should have proper papers for you & to show you the parents if they were on site. That way you will know if it was a pure bred or mix breed. But hey, there's absolutely nothing wrong with mix breed. Mix (breeds) are original as they don't like the same like a pure bred one to another pure bred of the similar breed. But since yours is only a puppy, it might be too early to tell what the other half is until it a few months later. That way, the features will surely come out. Too soon now...but in the meantime, just have fun with your puppy....it's only a puppy & all puppies are cute despite whatever breed they are...mix or not.

I dont think Pits have webbed feet(Not sure) I can Check at work tommorow and you can email me...We have several Full blooded Pits in.You can make a simple phone call to your vet,They will answer this question over the phone I'm sure...If you want a Full blooded Pit take the dog back after you have proof about the Webbed feet thing and get your money back...If you didnt pay alot and its a goodlooking dog keep it..I have seen alot of Pit/Lab mixes They are Awesome!

Without papers, you have a mutt. Unless you can see a pedigree, there is no telling what the dog is made up of. Wish we had more information. APBT and LAB does not make an awesome dog !! IT makes only a cur or mutt. Call it for what it is. Also, having webbed feet has not one thing to do as whether a dog is full blooded or not. In the APBT it can be an undesireable trait, but nothing more.

my pit is half but she has the square head which is a pit trait, she is mixed with a blood hound so i can see both breeds in her very well. but if yours is bread with another terrier breed then it may be harder to tell. check with a vet they might be able to help.

Look at the breed specs, and it should spell it out. But, it is more important to love the puppy that you have than worry about its lineage, I think

If it was pure bred it would've come with papers saying so.
