Hello Erik - yes, I believe we each have a special purpose for being here on earth, that we are to do something that no one else will do and, in that sense, it's great. This is in addition to loving God with all our hearts, all our minds, all our souls, and all our strength.

That's kind of exciting to think that you will do something that no one else will do. There is an interesting book you may want to check out by Rick Warren entitled "The Purpose-Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For?" Good question.

Absolutely! We ARE made for a purpose, and we won't be fulfilled until we're walking in that purpose. The matter is finding that thing that touches us and so grabs our heart that we cannot help but get into it.

History shows that great people simply were people who walked in their destiny, and accomplished great things while doing it. Some came upon it by accident, others through an opportune combination of events and contacts, while others always knew where they were headed.

Get out there, try all kinds of things, meet all kinds of people, and find out what grabs you, what issues you have a heart for. You will find something that connects you and that you'll know is what you're here for. It may not happen overnight, but as long as you're developing something in you you're on your way.

I dont know about doing somthing great in life. Doing somthing great depends on what you consider "great"

If you mean by famous, chances are low. I like to think raising a family is a great contribution to the world. You could possibly be raising the next Mozart or Einstein.

Its about being satisfied with what you have. Because sometimes its all you have. To enjoy every moment you can while you can. Findind someone to love that will love you back to the fullest.

We absolutely have a purpose in life. Each of us can choose our own path, but we must accomplish something on this planet in order for our lives to be worthwhile. It may just be something small, like helping out neighbors. Or the purpose may be great, like starting a foundation that will cure a disease.

You are the only person who limits what you can accomplish. Find your purpose and live it.

Yes ! Our great purpose in life is the same as it is for worms, ants, roachs and whales. We are all part of the Bio -Mass and we all do amazing and wonderful things. If you are are King George or some grass clippings it does not make any difference. You are going to end up in the great compost pile !

Yeah, you will have to take a moment and figure out what great thing you want to do. Help the homeless, plant a tree, save a life, etc. Just try to do something good every day. The greatest thing that any one can do is try.

Having a purpose doesn't mean doing anything great. It just means having goals or objectives that you try to accomplish instead of just living an aimless life, drifting around...Of course, there are some philosophies that advocate just drifting around and not having a purpose, because having a purpose is too "mentalistic"--you just just live and let live, just be instead of do.

We are meant to leave the world a better place than it was when we came into it and to prepare it for the next generation. That's being great, but few of us will get famous.

Somewhat. I mainly think the purpose in life is just plain survival. But I believe that while we are here, we should all do something great, something beyond ourselves, something that could lasts beyond our own existance. Whether it be having children, volunteering, or discovering a cure for cancer. We owe it to ourselves to live life to the fullest, no one can do it for us.

Your purpose in life is to live! How you live it is entirely up to you. Everyone starts out in life with equal opportunities. What you chose to do and how much work you put into it will determine if it is great or not.
