Great question ! Good for you in wishing to experiment and be creative in the kitchen. I bet with a bit of research you can find a recipe on the Internet. Try a www.google.com search , use the words 'freeze-dried ice cream'. Good luck and have fun.

Probably not. I remember getting some one time. Neopolitan flavour. I think it was from the Smithsonian. No way you want to eat all the crap they put in it for an extended period of time.

it probably is with the right equipment, but chances are that it would be much more expensive than just buying a lot of it.
