What is high school like? Hmmmm...well...it's not as difficult as college. It sure as hell wasn't anything like Parris Island. Oh...I'm sure you don't know what that is so Google it. You'll see what I mean.
Its a part of life. Don't screw off. Make the best of it and keep your grades up. Not only do you make new friends. You mature. Don't think that you know more or better than your parents. You don't. that's a down side of high school. You aren't that smart yet sweetie.
In your third year start seriously looking at college if this is another step you desire (and want to shell out $$ to take).
If you don't believe me...ask around. Ask any guy or girl who dropped out of high school if they either wished to go back and redo it again. More will say yes than no.

I love high school. But if you want to get something out of it, you have to put work into it. I'm going into my sophmore year and last year I joined as many clubs and groups as possible. I met a ton of new people and made many friends. I'm not gonna lie, it's easier if you are outgoing. And if you open yourself up to knew things you will have the time of your life.
But you can't be all "this school sucks, I have no school spirit." Take part in the experience. If you get mixed with upperclassmen in your school it's even better. Most of the time, you don't really know kids 3 years older than you and being in classes with them is an awesome opportunity. Don't be afraid to sit up front (or in the back) sit by someone you want to be friends with.
High school only happens once, so enjoy the ride, go to dances, go to games, hang out with your friends, and most importantly don't give into peer pressure. Oh and on a final note, watch out for the sophmores, the seniors wont even bother you, but the sophmore's are a tad scary.

Well its both fun and boring...fun-friends and depends on other things..boring-classes...but some classes are NOT boring...depends on what classes you like or you have. High School is awesome...so when you get to the end its really exciting...your top dog...and you rule th school for the year then you are gone. I have 2 years yet...Im gonna be a Jr. (11th) grader this September that is 2 months away...but im supposed to be a Senior (12th grader) and be graduating this year...but things happen. It kinda includes my birthdate and when I started school.

it can be fun, but you will find that there are clicks in the school and it also depends on where you live if you live in a rough neighborhood, try to make all the friends you can you might need them but, if you live in a good one you shouldn't have too much to worry about but then, good neighborhoods can surprise you just don't rush getting out of high school, trust me i am 31 and wish to God i could go back to those days. just have fun and enjoy it!!

Back in "The Day" it was wonderful. I actually got to live the life (in reality) similar to the characters in "GREASE" the original. My sons, today, are living a different High School life and I do not like it!
Make it fun but be very safe!

It can be both really...it depends on what your day is like and how you choose to perceive it. But overall it's alot of work because you'll learn new things you never have before and while doing it and also very fun because you'll have alot of new experiences and meet alot of new people. Keep an open mind and it will be awesome for you.

Well, I go to a private school. There are a lot of rich white kids there. My classes are very hard but you just have to strive for the best and work hard. It was really easy for me to make friends. And it is pretty fun but im glad it is summer!

I am just going into High School but I took an advanced class and from what I have heard it is great, but college is WAY better.

highschool is absolutely fun fun fun...meeting new people, hanging out with friends and enjoying school activities.most of the time highschool is stressful. we were crammed with school work everyday. but that has all paid off because i learned the value of managing my time... im now in college and im thankful that i could apply the things i learned back then to my course right now...

It's fun!Well at leaast it was for me,just depends on the person if u don't like school i guess then u wouldn't like it...The classes were kind of boring though!
