Julius Rosenberg (May 12, 1918 – June 19, 1953) and Ethel Greenglass Rosenberg (September 28, 1915 – June 19, 1953) were American citizens and Communist Party members who were thrust into the world spotlight when they were tried, convicted and executed for spying for the Soviet Union. Specifically, the couple were convicted on conspiracy to commit espionage and of passing nuclear weapons secrets to Russian agents.

They represent the biggest travesty in our justice system. Even if they were guilty of the charges, the punishment exceeded the crime in a big way.

If we are not careful and keep giving the present administration a free pass, there may be a lot more "Rosenbergs" amongst us, for something as simple as dissenting from their policies.

They were executed by the U.S. government as spies in the 1930's I think. I'm too lazy to check the real date. There was a lot of controversy over their case.

A husband and wife that were convicted of giving secrets of the Atomic bomb to Russia, & executed for their crimes.
