Not sure what you mean by whether to go to an ag school or not - do you mean for your undergrad degree?

UC Davis, in California -- excellent, and you might try Cornell, and Pen State (these were the vets who put Barbaro back together after that lovely horse shattered his right hind pastern. But again, gotta have the grades.....and it makes no difference, really, where you go to hs.... lots of kids get into these really good vet schools from public hs, and state colleges. Large animal vets' salaries and earnings vary -- Connecticut doesn't have a large cattle population, nor a large equine population, so your income would be less there than in states that did, and also in warmer states....

Iowa State University has a great veterinary school and is one of the top schools in the US. They do testing there in the Animal lab as well. Give them a try- you couldn't get a more reasonably priced education!!!

Check Va. Tech, and I suspect your grades will be most important. Good luck.
