what can i do to prevent him from breaking out so much?

wash off his whole muzzle after eating and drinking. and if he drools dry him off a lot. also dont feed in plastic. use stainless steal.

Poor fella... one of my cats gets this but not the other two. Best solution I have found is a mixture of two parts cornstarch and one part boric acid (available at drugstores) applied morning and night. Also rinse with peroxide or witch hazel to prevent infection. It may go away when the weather gets cooler.

Mine does too! He has been eating our trees in the backyard, and I believe that has something to do with it. But our vet said to apply Neosporin to it to prevent infection, There is puppy acne meds. too.
