Read the Bible, and read the Book of Mormon. I choose to
follow the Bible and not the Book of Mormon. Have spoken
with Buddhists. It seems that to be a good Buddhist you need
to have a PhD in philosophy. I believe in study, but that's taking
things a little bit to far.
I Corinthians 13;8a, Love never fails!!!!!

Sacred text is a special kind of writing that most people do not read in the same manner as other writings, from cover to cover, but rather tend to read in a slower pace, with more meditation on certain passages that are most meaningful to that person. So, it is not all that unusual that some people in certain religions may not have yet read all that there is to read.
That said, some do read sacred text from cover to cover --this can be a helpful approach, particularly with a text such as the Bible as in this way the reader can gain an appreciation for the narrative flow. Even so, it is likely that cover-to-cover readers also return to some sections, such as the Psalms for purposes of prayer and meditation.
Also, Christians and Jews practice a weekly cycle of readings so that if you attend church regularly and just sit and listen, you hear most of the Bible (Tanak for the Jewish faith) over a period of three years.

Like "rocky road", I too am a Christian, a minister in a group known as Jehovah's Witnesses.
I have read the bible twice. The New Revised Standard Version and the New World Translation. Working on a few others at the moment.
The bible is a good book and I recommend it to everyone. Get a good modern english literal translation.
