well i would explain it like this i would use pretty much these exact words:
well what would you say if someone were to die for you? take your place for death so you wouldn't have to die and all you would have to do is ask and he would take the place. well we all have sinned right and the penalty for sin is death. so it just takes one mistake. but i know someone who took everyone's place. he was perfect and had never sinned. but this is what happend. they took him and put him on the cross and that is a very long and painfull death they whipped him and beat him and teased him. they spit on him and he almost died before he got to the cross they made him carry his own cross up but he couldn't. when he finally got up they nailed his hands and feet to the cross.they put a crown of thorns on his head and pushed it down. they also put a sign on the cross that said: this is Jesus the king of jews. now he could've stopped them if he wanted, but he wanted to save us from eternal death. and the only way that he could save us is through dieing for us. after he was dead they put him in a tomb with a rock rolled over it (becuse some of his deciples were saying that he would raise from the grave and they didn't want them to steal the body and say that he did) but on the third day he did rise from the grave. the reason why is because since he was a perfect man he didn't have any sin and sin is the reason why we die. since he didn't have any sin he couldn't die. after he rose from the grave 500 people saw him rise from the grave. now tell me this.... what would you say if someone took off with your car and 500 people saw the peoson that took your car would you believe it. well i don't know about you but i would believe. so it is the same thing, he rose from the grave and 500 people saw him that is how i know that this is true. now he went though all of this for you and he can save you from haveing eternal death instead he can give you eternal life. you can live in heaven with him. all you have to do is admit that you are a sinner and ask him to forgive you. and he will forgive you. all that you have to do is pray this prayer with me....
Dear Jesus, thank you for loving me so much when i don't even deserve to have your mercy. Lord come into my life, change me and forgive me. i believe that you are the only way to get to God and i believe that you died on the cross to pay for my sin and rose 3 days later. you are my savior and one day i will live with you forever. but while i am down here help me take a stand for you. please use me in what ever way that you want and help me make a difference and fill me with over flowing love. i love you! in Jesus' name amen.
yeah that is how i would explain it if i had a lot of time. good luck!

Actually, you don't need to tell people about Jesus.
If you live in America or western Europe, the people already know. They've heard the stories. If they haven't been moved by those stories, then they won't be moved by you.
I suggest doing something more meaningful with your life. Go help the homeless. Raise money for charity. Jesus would approve of such activities anyway, so you're good either way. The benefit is that you don't have to worry about annoying people who have heard enough about Jesus.
I am amused by street preachers who shout at passers-by. As if they haven't heard it all before. And now it comes from the mouth of someone who looks and sounds crazy. Not exactly the most compelling method.

It depends on the person to whom you are talking. The previous person was correct, most people in Europe, Australia, and the Americas already know and don't particularly care to hear more.
If the person that you're talking to has absolutely no idea about religion of any sort, you may consider starting with question-and-answer session and move toward more complex subjects gradually, rather than heap on the "Wow! factor" as I call it.
If the person is looking to convert, do the same thing, but with a little more in-depth information about the nitty-gritty theological stuff.
Remember, though, to always be respectful, which means accepting that sometimes people just don't want to hear about Jesus.

Honey I want to apologize to you since I don't know who else will. Apparently your innocent question brought out the worst kind of hate-mongers. I am so sorry that you got the brunt of it.
I find the best witnessing is natural, as part of normal conversation with a friend or co-worker, read scripture every day and get lot of good teaching so that you grow and you will have lots to "share" about how your life is changing, or what things God showed you in your prayer time.
Sometimes it's just being there for somebody or giving sacrificially of yourself or your resources that speaks louder than anything you can say:
St. Theresa of Avila said "preach the gospel at all times and when necessary use words".

I would say "The bible is a poorly written book of mythology and the Jesus myth was popularized when it was invented by the Nicene Council in 325 CE (ad). After which, it was forced on people for over 1,000 years under penalty of death.
There are currently tens of thousands of cults all claiming to know what Jesus really said or meant if he didn't actually say it.
And, if the bible is true, Christians are following Satan and are all going to hell."

Don't tell them anything about Jesus; Show them what he has taught you. This is the best way teaching by example.
Jesus asks us to love our neighbor, no exceptions. God made you out of the love that he is. All Jesus asked of you is to be the love that you already are.
You can only do this if you just forget what you have been told about judgment. Judgment is not Gods way, It is not Jesus’ way and it should not be your way either. Just see everyone as a part of God because that is what he or she is. How likely is it that some part of God needs to be judged anyway?
Many of us think that we should love only those we have judged worthy of love. This is not love at all it is only judgment. It is only love if it is done the way Jesus asks us to do it. It’s only real if we love everyone.

HI, first of all Im very pleased to here your enthusiastic aboutn sharing your faith. it is really very easy and you can remeber how by remebering this acronyim WDJD, What Did Jesus Do. Okay here goes.
W_ ask the person if they consider themselves to be a Good person.
D- Ask them if they think they have Kept the ten Commandments. go through them, For example (have you ever lied? Ever stolen something? even something small? ever looked with lust? ect.) many will admit there guilt of breaking Gods Law.
J- Speak to the person about the seriousness of there sin. Dont be afraid to tell the person that If God Judges them according to there sin they could end up in hell.
D_ask the person if it concenrs them they could end up in hell. ask them if they know what jesus did for them by dying on the cross. Give the person the Good news that we broke the Law but Jesus paid the penalty for us by dying on the cross. follow this up by telling the person the promise that If they will repent (turn from sin) and trust Jesus as there savior God will grant them everlasting life.
I hope this Helps, Dont be afraid, let your Love for God swallow your fear, and Preach the eternal Gospel. here is a good radio station to listen to that talks about sharing your faith www.wayofthemasterradio.com God Bless WDJD

You can use Bible tracts, just be open to promptings from the Holy Spirit, start a Christian Blog or Group in Yahoo Groups.
Get involved in some kind of ministry. Or use Yahoo! Answers to do so by answering questions or asking your own. I have a Blog, answer questions and am part of home missions. There are many ways. You can check out this website for more ideas.

Give your testimony! Tell people about what Jesus has done in your life and the things that he has blessed you with as well as the things he has brought you through. Talk about his miracles and the plan of salvation! Study up on your bible and work on your people skills. God will do the rest! Good luck in your quest. Send me a message if you need any advice! God Bless!

Tell them this:
Jesus? Dying?
What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?
(NOT A VIRGIN BIRTH! - betcha never knew that.)
Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .
If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.
Gods do not die? Do they?
If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?
Did Jesus give up Saturday for us? Big deal!
If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.
If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!
If you swallow this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to swallow it too.
'Believers' want everyone to convert to their non-thinking.
Believing and not thinking is to choose a mental illness.

This is something I have trouble with as well. Don't listen to all those people who tell you that you shouldn't. God wants us to "make more disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit..." Live a life that displays your love for Christ as you love others. Don't be discouraged if they don't repent right away. People have done studies, and a person usually needs to know about 6 strong Christians before actually considering becoming one themselves. Just try talking to people about the importance of Christ in your life and give them examples of what He has done for you. Anyways I hope this helps. Just keep trying because people need to hear about God's love. Good luck to you and many blessings!
