People get lice from anywhere. Bus, train, and airline upholstery. You can get lice from dogs who lie on carpet that have lice from previous homeowners even. Use the shampoo and the nit combs and be assured that these days there is no longer the "unclean stigma" associated with a lice infestation. It is random... Just don't try on hats at the store anymore.

when your child got head lice I sure hope that you remembered to also check in and around the pets. Perhaps even throwing away some of the bedding which might be totally infested. also they [pharmacies] will carry a bomb to set off in your house to make sure that you rid your home of all those nasty little buggers!!! I would strongly recommend that you get the school to check in on their other students;and ask for a printout of the results

Head Lice, he can get at School most children pick it up a school
you have to give him a clean hair cut, lice only live on hair so if their is no hair their will be no lice, when his hair is growing back
wash it regularly with shampoo, and condition, using warn water
also you must keep his hair moiture, lice love dry hair

They are not uncommon. They are everywhere. A movie seat, friend's homes, day care, school. Seems like you've done everything you can.
