first of all, a noun is a person, place, thing or IDEA, and milk actually is a thing, just like iced tea or mountain dew. If you don't consider it a noun, what do you consider it? a verb? an adjective?

stuff=thing and thing=noun so there you go. milk is a person place or thing. it is not an action or a description but somehting you can touch, see, and taste. henceforth making milk a noun.
