Tell them you're having a small family wedding, then find a way to invite them over for dinner so they feel special sometime SOON after the wedding.

Here's what you do: Tell them the budget was very tight and if they'd like to be included on the email list for wedding photos - take down their addresses and send them some photos.

That all depends, if you dont like the person and are probably never going to see them again then just simly say oh no sorry were just having immediate family. If your going to see them on a regular basis you need to come up with something like "limited seating in the hall"

You can always say you were trying to keep the wedding small, and unfortunately couldn't invite everybody.

Even though we had a large wedding we just told peole our guest list was very limited due to the size of the church or reception hall. I hated when people asked me that. It is so rude.

Tactfully let them know that although you and your fiancee are flattered they feel the way they do about you that you have already set a set budget and unfortunately, are going to have to adhere to it. However, let them know that you will be thinking of them that day and promise to invite them to your one year anniversary celebration (and do it too).

I would tell everyone you are on a budget and you and your new family made a decision to make it very exclusive. You could tell them you'd love to go out to dinner shortly after with them to celebrate...

Tell them you can't afford to invite everyone that you would like to.
